DOLE-CAMP in NorMin evaluates 72K COVID-19 distressed workers D
EPARTMENT of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-X Regional Director Lawyer Joffrey M. Suyao announces that under the COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program’s (CAMP) one-time P5,000 financial assistance, a total of 4,078 applications from covered applicant employers in the private sector were evaluated covering a total of 72,152 workers as of April 13.
Of the 4,078 evaluated applications, 3,044 companies implemented temporary closure displacing 46,864 workers while 1,034 of which implemented Flexible Working Arrangements (FWAs) affecting 25,288 workers. Applications evaluated are distributed by area: Cagayan de Oro City recorded the highest at 1,988 companies with 43,777 affected workers; followed by Bukidnon province at 568 Frontliners in the fight against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) receive their improvised hazmat suits from high companies, affecting 6,869 school alumni of the Bukidnon State University. SMC, AFP build isolation facilities to help ease hospital overcrowding San Miguel Corporation is building ten emergency quarantine facilities (EQF) near military hospitals to house personnel who have tested positive for COVID-19 but have mild or no symptoms, and, more importantly, help ease pressure on health facilities flooded by patients needing intensive medical treatment. “We are thankful to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for giving us the opportunity to collaborate with them on this initiative. This is one way we can help our hospitals efficiently attend to Covid-19 patients with severe symptoms as well those suffering from other life-threatening conditions,” SMC president and
