CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Former Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will be the guest speaker during the 11th NMR 1 Convention of the Fraternal Order of Eagles (Philippine Eagles) this Saturday at Rosario Pavilion here. NMR1 Gov. Anjun Gomez said that the activity will be preceded with a thanksgiving Mass at 6:00 a.m. at San Isidro Labrador Parish Eco-Church in barangay Kauswagan. After the Mass, there will be a motorcade with the Kuyas, Ates and Bunsos going to barangay Canitoan covered court where there will be a half-day long medical and dental mission. Fake Customs police slain, Cop, infant killed in ambush in Bukidnon, police say broker hurt in Oro ‘shootout’ By GERRY LEE GORIT Correspondent

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY -- An alleged Customs police died while a broker of the Bureau of Customs in Region 10 (BOC-10) was still in critical condition after the two engaged in an alleged shootout on Thursday night in Barangay Macasandig this city. Sr. Insp. Adbul Alim

Torres Sumandar, head of Macasandig police station, identified the fatality as a certain Roy Ancajas, 45, a resident of no. 122C Cabantan Street, Mabolo, Cebu City. Sumandar said Ancajas died when he and another Customs’ broker engaged in a heated argument. In a report, he said the Macasandig police station

received a phone call regarding the unidentified person lying at the canal in front of the Macasandig National Police Station around 8 p.m. on November 9. CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – An armed group believed to be members of the New People’s Army (NPA) waylaid a police vehicle resulting to the death of a police officer and four-month-old child in a town in Bukidnon late Thursday afternoon, authorities said Friday. Per report from the Phil. National Police-10 (PNP10), the casualties were

identified as a certain SPO3 Arnel Carillo, of the Bumbaran municipal police, and a still-unnamed infant. Also wounded were three police officers and two civilians. Those who sustained wounds were identified as Insp. Joven Acuesta, chief of the Bumbaran municipal police in Lanao del Sur, and his men, namely, SPO1 Pacifico Cabudoy, and PO1 Nathaniel Ibal. The wounded civilians

were Ali Citi, 53, female, who was hit on her left breast, and Ali Aminsalam, 37, who was wounded on her right arm. The infant, who was hit on the forehead, was with the female civilians on board a Toyota Fortuner when the incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. in Barangay Tikalaan, Talakag town, Bukidnon.
