Duterte to discuss North Korea situation with President Trump Pr e si de n t Ro drigo Duterte may visit the United States (US) within the next few months to discuss with US President Donald Trump the situation on the Korean Peninsula.

In a statement, Acting Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) spokesman Robespierre Bolivar said it seemed that the US wanted to consult with its allies and strategic partners in Asia on approach to tensions

over Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).

Bolivar said there had not yet been any firm agreement on the dates of the President Duterte’s trip, “but most likely in the next few months because the topic is urgent.”

He added the arrangement for his US visit would be tackled through diplomatic channels.

NPA attacks sow anxiety, says Davao RPOC chair

NABUNTURAN, Compostela Valley -- The chair of the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) in Davao region condemned the attacks staged by the communist New People’s Army (NPA) rebels at the facilities of Lapanday Foods Corporation (LFC).

RPOC chair and Compostela Valley Governor Jayvee Tyon Uy on Monday said the series of attacks last Saturday only brought fears and insecurity among the residents where the attacks occurred.

Uy lamented the fact that the attacks took place while the country is hosting

the Association of South East Asian Nation (ASEAN) Summit.

“We sympathize with the victims of these attacks, especially the civilians in the affected areas,” Uy said in a press statement released Monday.

LFC on Sunday said hundreds of workers, including their partners, will be affected due to the destruction of their facilities.

and keep track on students’ academic learnings on the basics and fundamentals of the subject but it has improved as well their level of alertness. Level of alertness as they now have the inspiration and encouragement to study their lessons in order to get good scores in quizzes; students have now been pro-active and responsive in dealing with the subject.

Moreover, this strategy has impounded the students to understand more and value the teachings of Science as a subject. They will be able to appreciate more of it as it does not mean only to planets, the Milky Way, the Earth but to life in general.

And yes, they will always remember its life lessons, the moment they are being hooked into it.

To my fellow teachers in the Science subject, I hope we will become more encouraged and inspired not only in dealing with Science but in teaching, imparting, and sharing it as well to our students. Yes, educating generations is not as easy as one, two, and three or as easy as the A, B, C but its fruits are rewarding and cannot be tangled and complemented by any peso.

The request of a certain mother whom Jesus accompanied brought another miracle to a sickly woman. This is a very nice move because sometimes your efforts in doing the right things might others be benefited unexpectedly. This is my point; in doing the exact thing, others are also benefited. In doing the Godly things, others are also blessed.

Keep doing the right things because it will bear more good fruits.

Sometimes God allows blessings to come to you because he expects that others will be blessed also by you.

In other words, you will become a blessing to anyone because he blesses you so much.

I don’t believe in accident but God’s divine arrangement of

A European Music School & Community Orchestra for Cagayan de Oro

Lovers and patrons of music are coming together in Cagayan de Oro to realize a common vision and passion: a European standard music school and conservatory, and as a consequence, a community based orchestra.

Time was when one could stroll around the old Cagayan and hear the tinkle of pianos from almost every household at almost all hours of the day. Then there was the tradition of the Serenata when bands and musicians shared their music with the public at the old kiosko.

Not to mention the local musicians who made it good here and abroad and shared their music to appreciative audiences with

all the world’s peoples from London to New York and Beijing. Indeed, the city can rightly claim a tradition of music that goes back through the centuries and decades.

Perhaps it’s not really a surprise that those who had the good fortune to enjoy those halcyon days would have a hankering to share them with the new generations who seem more enamored to merely listening to canned music from elsewhere through the internet and other media rather than perform it themselves.

That dream started to take shape when she managed to convince a world renowned composer and conductor from Germany to head the Liceo Music Conservatory last year.

Horst-Hans Bäcker was born in Romania but later honed his craft in Germany and Austria where he studied composition. He has been commissioned to compose music for special occasions by various European cities and won first prize at the De Profundis Composers’ Competition in Cologne with his composition “From the Depths I Cry Out to You, Lord”.
