Chen talks about the emerging “non-traditional” tourism approach like the three weeks “Marina Bay Light Festival.” He narrates that the “light festival” is the product of a combination of local and foreign talents that draws more than 685,000 domestic and foreign tourists around the world in 2015. “The Marina Light Festival” is designed purposely to align the concept of tourism at pace with the state-of-the-art technology. VAW cases still rampant, rising: CWR ONE woman or child is raped every 53 minutes; one woman is battered every 16 minutes. Alarmingly, the victims are getting younger and the numbers are rising. Seven in 10 victims of rape are children. This is according to a study conducted by the Center for Women’s Resources (CWR), a 34year research and training institution for women.
