The City Government of the Island Garden of Samal is finding ways to have a good wharf for Samal people at the side of Davao City in either developing the existing wharf at Sasa Onse ( Km. 11) or finding a new suitable one.

This was bared by City Councilor Charles Ligan after the session of the City Council Tuesday morning in an interview.

He said that he recently reached out Davao City Councilor and newly-elected PCL national president Danilo Dayanghirang for the development or transfer of the Sasa Onse wharf for lanchas . The latter committed to immediately work for it thru a “joint project”.

Students deserve to have the education they need to prepare them for the future because they are the future of the country one day. Schools should help prepare students to succeed by providing text books and supplies that are updated.

Crowded classrooms are becoming more and more of a problem as the student population continues to grow. Classrooms are packed each day as students sit on the floor or stand up during a full class period. It is very important to have a classroom that is comfortable and spacious. Duterte to Filipino community in Myanmar: PHL now safer under current administration

P r e sid e nt R o d r i g o Duterte urged Filipinos in Myanmar to visit the Philippines to experience that the country is much safer under his current administration.

In his speech before the Filipino community in Myanmar, President Duterte encouraged the community “to go home and find out what’s happening in our country.”

“At least makakalakad na kayo. It will be peaceful.

And your children can go out, and your sisters and brothers, and they will be safe,” President Duterte said.

day evening at around 6:10 p.m., Myanmar Standard Time, for the honors at the Naypyi Taw International Airport while a cheering crowd of around 250 Filipinos waited for him to arrive at the Horizon Lake View Resort where he delivered his speech.

That the monthly rental shall be Php ________ Philippine Currency, to paid by the lessee at the office of the MEEDO on or before the 20th day of the month, in addition to dily cash tickets imposed under Municipal Ordinance No. 11.s-1997. A surcharge of twenty- five percent (25%)shall be paid for delayed payment . However, failure to pay monthly space rental for (3) three consecutive months shall be a sufficient ground for the revocation of this contract of lease. It is expressly agreed and understood that the payment of the rental stipulated herein shall be made without the necessity of express demand and without delay on any ground whatsoever, monthly space rental increase to be determined by the Sangguniang Bayan duly approved by the Municipal Mayor after a public hearing for said purpose. b.

The leased premises shall be maintained in good condition and it is expressly understood that the lessor shall not under any circumstances be liable responsible for any breakdown, failure or non- performance of same parts or portion of the building whether due to calamity or any other cause or reason whatsoever; h.

The lessee expressly acknowledges that the leased premises are in good and tenantable condition and agrees to keep the same in such good and tenantable condition. Any provision of law, present or future, or any stipulation in this agreement to the contrary notwithstanding. The lessee hereby agrees and binds himself to undertake at his own expense all repairs necessary or otherwise such as may be required to maintain the same in good state of order. It is expressly agreed and understood, however, that the lessee shall not start or proceed with any repair work nor in any case introduce improvements or alterations in the leased premises without the written consent and approval of the lessor and the parties agree that all improvement or alterations of whatsoever nature as may be made thereon shall upon completion form integral parts of the leased premises and shall not be removed there form but shall belong to and become the exclusive property of the lessor without any right on the part of the lessee to the reimbursement of the cost or value thereof; i.

The lessee shall pay for and defray at his own expense, the consumption of water bill, electric light, telephone or other utility services in the leased premises all repairs in the utility service shall be made by the lessor but for the exclusive account of the lessee; j.

The lessee shall comply with any and all laws, ordinances, regulation or orders of the local government or any national agencies arising from or regarding the use, occupation and sanitation of the leased premises. Failure to comply with the said laws, ordinance, regulation or orders shall be at the exclusive risk and expense of the lessee; k.

The lessee shall not bring into or store in the leased premise any inflammable or explosive goods or materials nor any article which may expose the leased premise to fire or increase fire hazard; l.

The lessee shall comply with all sanitary rules and safety conditions which may be promulgated from time to time by the lessor or shall keep and maintain the leased premise in clean and sanitary condition and dispose all rubbish only through the means and places indicated by the lessor for the purpose. m.

The lessee shall not use leased premise for dwelling or sleeping purposes; n.

The lessee hereby expressly recognizes the right of the lessor to sell the leased premises, and in the event of sale, this contract of lease shall be deemed ipso facto cancelled and the right of said lessee to occupy the premises considered automatically terminated; o.

If said premises is not surrendered at the end of the term, the lessee shall suffer by reason thereof and will indemnify the lessor against all claims made by and between any succeeding tenant against the lessor resulting from delay by the lessor in delivering possession of the premises to such succeeding tenant in so far as much delay is occasioned by failure of the lessee to surrender the premises; That the lessor reserves the right to prescribe or limit the weight of any heavy , safe equipment or other heavy articles which may be placed in the leased premises and to designate the position or location for such heavy objects within the premises for reason of safety and security.

That the lessor shall not be liable for the presence of bugs, vermin ants or insects, if any in the leased premises. The lessor shall not be liable for the failure of water supply and/ or electric supply.

That the lessee at the expiration of the term of the lease or the cancellation of this lease as herein provided, will promptly deliver the said premises to the lessor in as good and tenantable condition in all respect as the same now are, reasonable wear and tear excepted, devoid, of all occupants, furniture, articles and effects of any kind, provided, however , that non- compliance of the part of the lessee with the terms of this clause will give the lessor shall have complied with the terms thereof. The same penalty shall be likewise be imposed in case the lessee refuse to leave the leased premises after his right of lease has expired or terminated for any reason whatsoever; This lease agreement supersedes and renders void any all agreement and undertakings, oral or written, previously entered between the parties covering the property herein leased and this agreement may not hereafter be modified or altered except by instrument in writing duly signed by parties thereto; Upon signing of this agreement, the lessee shall pay by way of deposit unto the lessor, the sum of ________________________________ (P ______________) to be applied in payment of rental, in arrears and other expenses or charges that the lessee may owe in favor of the lessor.

Section 130. Cancellation of lease and Ejectment. - Any violation of this Code shall be sufficient ground for the revocation or cancellation of a stallholder/vendor’s lease of contract or the right to occupy a stall, room, booth or space in the economic enterprises, except the Laguindingan public Cemetery and Laguindingan Slaughterhouse. Any such stallholder or vendor whose lease right or right occupancy has been cancelled or revoked, or who has been ejected from the stall, room, booth or space he is leasing or occupying, cannot anymore occupy any stall, room, in the economic enterprises of the municipality in the future.

Section 131. Selling Confiscated Goods. - Any law enforcement officer or Economic Enterprises Security Guard who confiscates goods from any vendor, ambulant or otherwise, and sells or offers those goods for sale by himself through a third person, shall upon conviction of the court, be fined of not less than One Thousand (Php 1,000.00) pesos but not more than Two Thousand Five Hundred (P2,500.00).

In cases, person guilty or selling or offering to sell confiscated goods shall indemnify the owner of the goods or a fine equal to the total value of the goods confiscated and sold or offered to be sold. The failure of any law enforcement officer or economic enterprise security guard who confiscated goods from any vendor, ambulant or otherwise, to render accounting of confiscated good, shall be a prima facie evidence against him.

Section 132. Weights and Measures. - Any stallholder found violating the provisions of existing laws regarding weights and measurers shall, for the first offense, be fined five hundred pesos (P500.00) only and required to correct any deficiency in said weights or measures, for the second offense, be fined one thousand pesos (P1,000.00); and for the third offense, shall be revocation of lease contract and ejectment from the stall, room, booth/space one occupied.

Section 133. – In addition to all administrative fines imposed on this code, an imprisonment of one (1) day to (30) days shall be imposed upon the discretion of the court.

Failure to pay said violations within 72 hours will be a ground for filling an appropriate case in a court of competent jurisdiction.

The growing use of term learning experience by educators and other reflects larger pedagogical and technological shifts that have occur in design

and delivery of education to the students, because students may learn in a wide variety of settings and ways. The term is often as more accurate, preferred or inclusive alternative terms as course. New technologies have dramatically and diversified the ways in which the students can learn from and interact with educators in addition to the level of independence that may have in learning.

While listening to a lecture, reading a book or completing homework, assignments remain “ learning experience”. Students are now learning in different ways than they have in the past widen variety of outside-of-school setting.

OCD 10 supports Artsada’s peace initiatives Story and Photo by MARK FRANCISCO Lifestyle Editor

THE Office of Civil Defense (OCD) 10 under director Liza Mazo and past director Ana Caneda have vowed to support the peace initiatives of homegrown group Artsada.

This, after Mazo described the ongoing conflict between the government and various rebel fronts as a “human calamity.” She then went on saying that the mandate of OCD is not limited to natural calamities but including those human-induced ones.

Mazo herself graced the March exhibit of Artsada at Limketkai Center last Monday aptly called ArtPeace.

The exhibit would run until the 27th of this month.

Ten artists from Artsada participated in the exhibit consisting of 21 artworks in acrylic, oil and watercolour medium.

The ten are Mark Bailo, Leonil Bagayna, Marigold Cherie Garrido, Jayson Labtan, June Murcilla, Jemar Abay, Ruth Michelle

Bayron, Christy Alcantara, Christian Llanos and Harold Paul Lumang.

They were joined by two Yahshua Intelex tutees – Totti Alexander Sambiuad and Troy Sambiuad – as well as four MOGCHS Special Program for the Arts students – Gemma Lou Ayunan, Hanna Marie Carpenter, Reiner John Uba and Nina Theresa Moskera.

Meanwhile, Artsada will be opening its summer workshop classes starting this April 3 in four batches – two batches at Limketkai Center (the second will start on May 5 through 31) and two batches at Magill’s Bistro which is just across the street from Yahshua Intelex tutorial center along Masterson Ave. The registration fee will be P4,500 inclusive of art materials, certificate, T-shirt and display of your kid’s artworks during the finale art exhibit in May. Request for Bid(RFB) for Engineering Firm Winrock International is implementing a 4 year project funded by the United States Department of Agriculture and based in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte.
