Nawawalan na ako ng pag-asa! "Sir Chinkee pahingi po ng advice, 25 years old na po ako but still jobless because I'm sickly. Since the letter sender wrote the question in wikang Filipino. I just felt obliged to also write back on the same medium. My first blog in wikang Filipino. "Ang malas ko naman!" "Bakit pa ako susubok, eh, wala namang mangyayari?" Hopelessness can be one of the most incapacitating thing that can happen to a person. It o a n g m a l a k i n g prublema! Huwag kang magtitiwala sa iyong nararamdaman. Ika nga, feelings are the most deceptive of them all.

Huwag kang susuko at aayaw!

TAN by CHINKEE

Cebu Pacific to fly to Riyadh starting October 1 The Philippines' leading airline, Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) will launch thrice weekly non-stop flights to Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, starting October 1, 2014. It will be the only low-cost carrier flying between the Philippines and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Riyadh service is scheduled to depart Manila at 5:05pm every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, arriving in Riyadh at 10:35pm. The return flight will depart Riyadh at 12:45am every Monday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving in Manila at 3:40pm. To introduce the new route, CEB holds a PHP 1 seat sale for flights from Manila to Riyadh, from September 8 to 10, 2014. Travel period is from October 1 to December 31, 2014. After the seat sale, fares to Riyadh start at P3,499. "We have long wanted to serve the substantial population of Global Filipinos in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It will be our utmost pleasure to bring them home more often, on our extensive network and trademark low fares that are up to 35% lower than other airlines," said CEB General Manager for LongHaul Division Alex Reyes. "With Dammam, Kuwait, Dubai and now Riyadh, Cebu Pacific's network in the Middle East is made wider. We offer the most number of seats on this direct route, so there are more affordable and faster flights home for the Global Filipinos working and living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," he added. As per 2012 Commission on Filipinos Overseas estimates, there are over one million Global Filipinos based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. CEB's flights to Riyadh will utilize the airline's brand-new Airbus A330-300 fleet with a configuration of 436 all-economy class seats. Its 5th A330 aircraft was just delivered brand-new from the Airbus factory in Toulouse, France on September 2, 2014. The airline also offers fast and convenient sameterminal connecting flights for guests taking advantage of CEB's wide Philippine network. Passengers have the option to purchase baggage allowance, seat selection, CEB Air Wi-Fi connectivity inflight and Hot Meals. Aside from CEB's long-haul network in the Middle East, CEB also launched its long-haul flights to Sydney, Australia last September 9, 2014. For bookings and inquiries, guests can go to www. cebupacificair.com or call the reservation hotlines (02)7020-888 or (032)230-8888. The latest seat sales can also be found on CEB's official Twitter (@cebupacificair) and Facebook pages. CEB's 51-strong fleet is comprised of 10 Airbus A319, 28 Airbus A320, 5 Airbus A330 and 8 ATR-72 500 aircraft. It is one of the most modern aircraft fleets in the world. Between 2014 and 2021, Cebu Pacific will take delivery of 11 more brand-new Airbus A320, 30 Airbus A321neo, and 1 Airbus A330 aircraft.

Camiguin Island most favored tourist destination By Joe Palabao, Editor-at-large

THE tourism industry in the region is soaring up high as Camiguin Island now becoming the mostfavored tourist destination for the second quarter of 2014, accounting for 45 percent share of 201,881 tourist arrivals for the period. The second preferred cluster is Cagayan de OroGingoog-Misamis at 23 percent with 103,989 tourist arrivals. At the regional level, tourist arrivals for the second quarter increased by 96 percent to 443,977, year-on-year, mainly due to the 100 percent increase in the number of domestic

tourists. Domestic tourists accounted for 98 percent (434,141) of the total tourist arrivals while the remainder was shared by foreign tourists. Most of the foreign tourists for the quarter were from East Asia, North America and Europe. Among the regional blocks, notable growth in tourist arrivals was recorded from the ASEAN (269 percent). Meanwhile, Balikbayan arrivals sharply declined by 99 percent compared to the same period last year. In a nutshell, Camiguin is said to be the Philip-

pines’ most beautiful island enriched with the natural wonders and historical riches. A peaceful dream land of lush rainforest, volcanic splendor, eternal hot and cold springs, majestic waterfalls, coral reefs, exotic marine life and pristine coastline. In an interview with Director Catalino ‘Butch’ Chan 111, now considered as the Czar of Tourism of the Region for his undying love in promoting tourism said that let us not be dissuaded by the remoteness, to both the adventure and the urban dweller. Camiguin is my paradise.
