Brgy 21 and Miss Cagayan de Oro 2014 puts up green Christmas tree
A
12ft "green" Christmas tree now stands- lit with blue LED lights at Triangle area, boundaries of Barangays 21,22 and 23. This is a joint project of Miss Cagayan de Oro 2014 and Barangay 21 of barangay chair Gigi Go. This Christmas tree is made of driftwood stacked on top of each other to create a shape of a usual Christmas tree - painted in white.
The materials have been sourced out from the river banks that either been washed out by hurricanes and floods or fallen trees. The Triangle area is now enjoying a makeover look for the holidays as Go vows to make holiday installations every year in the said area. Reigning Miss Cagayan de Oro 2014 Bea Alvarez-Pohl on the other hand is delighted
with the partnership as their project contribution for Pasko de Oro in the city. Project consultant Gean T. Cesar said this kind of project will now become an annual collaboration project of Barangay 21 and the Miss Cagayan de Oro Committee. The lighting ceremony was attended by resiBRGY 21 | Page B2
