Southbank celebrates 10th anniversary

OUTHBANK, the rural banking arm of Zealep Group of Companies, celebrates today its 10th anniversary. Originally Kagay-anon Rural Bank before it became part of the Zealep conglomerate, Southbank started as a one-branch unit. With the recent opening of its branch in Bulua last January 28, the bank now has six branches, with four units based in Cagayan de Oro City and two in Bukidnon. Setting its sight in the resource-rich province of Bukidnon, Southbank plans to open a fuel-fledged branch in Valencia City by middle of the year. “It is but appropriate and timely that we have to participate in the economic boom that Bukidnon is experiencing, and thereby able to partake in the role that banks, rural banks included, in the inclusive
growth of our people,” said Southbank president Sonny Mendoza in a recent interview. Southbank’s head office is located at Rodelsa Hall, Kauswagan, Cagayan de Oro where its main branch, RN Pelaez Blvd. branch, is co-located. Other branches in the city are located at Trendline Bldg. in Cogon, Southbank Plaza in Velez and Village Arcade in

Claveria, a f irst class municipality of the Province of Misamis Oriental and a multi awarded LGU for Good Governance and Best Housekeeping Practices of the region turned over 19.3 Million completed infrastructure projects to its barangay beneficiaries last February 4, 2015. Funding agencies are Department of Agriculture (DA), and the Department of Social Work Department (DSWD).
