DTI empowers AgSur women’s group SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur -- The Women’s Association of San Francisco Agusan del Sur, Inc. (WASFADSI) launched recently its Shared Service Facility (SSF) for the Upgrading of Catering Services project. Ester Libo, WASFADSI president, thanked the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Agusan
del Sur for the opportunity to operate the SSF for the federation’s catering business as well as to make available these facilities for use of its members. In response, DTI Agusan del Sur OIC-provincial director Brenda Corvera asked the group to take good care of the SSF facilities. She reminded the group that they
could impose fees for the facilities’ use to allow them to earn income which they can use for their operation as well as set aside for the maintenance and replacement of equipment in the future. WASFADSI is the mother organization of all the 27 women’s associations in the municipality.
The April 28 launching at the Women’s Training Center in Barangay 3 in San Francisco town here was attended by the president and representatives from these associations.
