Zamboanga solon backs PNP chief Dela Rosa’s programs ZAMBOANGA City -First district Rep. Celso Lobregat has expressed full support to the present programs and innovations being introduced by Philippine National Police (PNP) Director-General Ronald Dela Rosa in the PNP hierarchy. Lobregat and Dela Rosa met during the recent installation of Ismael Sueno as the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) secretary. Lobregat said that one of the pressing issues he and Dela Rosa discussed is the prevailing problem on prohibited drugs. Lobregat said Dela Rosa has strongly recommended the intensification of the anti-drug campaign from the top most position in the local government to the grassroots level. Davao Norte eyes welfare provision DAVAO City -- After investing a lot on empowering its people, the province of Davao del Norte is now working out a grand plan to deliver welfare provision to the Dabaonons in the near future. During the opening of Strategic Planning Workshop for the Capitol officials yesterday at the SEDA Abreeza Hotel, Davao City, the new governor declared his administration’s bid to turn Davao del Norte into a welfare province. “It is our dream to become a welfare province,

where we are able to provide the basic requirements for the well-being and social support of all the Dabaonon citizens,” del Rosario said. The Governor declared his resolve to transform the social service delivery system of the province, in keeping with his promise to elevate the legacy of transformative leadership that his predecessor started.
