Zamboanga solon backs PNP chief Dela Rosa’s programs ZAMBOANGA City -First district Rep. Celso Lobregat has expressed full support to the present programs and innovations being introduced by Philippine National Police (PNP) Director-General Ronald Dela Rosa in the PNP hierarchy.

Lobregat and Dela Rosa met during the recent installation of Ismael Sueno as the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) secretary.

Lobregat said that one of the pressing issues he and Dela Rosa discussed is the prevailing problem on prohibited drugs.

Although there has been great progress in the last decade, many more children attend schools and girls’ education has markedly improved, 124 million children are still out of primary and lower secondary school and 250 million cannot read or write although many have been to school.

Education has large, consistent returns in terms of income and counters widening inequality but this potential is too often unrealized due to alarmingly low leaning levels. Providing

The group visited Silop Cave Complex, a unique cave system with various entrances leading to one big chamber and with impressive limestone formation of naturally carved stalagmites and stalactites. Also visited was the Mabua Stone Beach, which has a kilometer-long stretch of beach full of multi-sized pebbles, and clear blue water, where tourists can also see the magnificent sunset.

The Day-asan water village and Mangrove Forest, dubbed as “Little Venice” because of its narrow channels of water; it is a must-see destination in which the houses are erected on wooden stilts, bedded rocks and a vast mangrove plants.
