Benefit concert for Davao Museum slated

DAVAO CITY -- A classical concert will be held for the benefit of the Davao Museum History and Ethnography will be held in Davao City this January 23, 2017, at the ballroom of Marco Polo Davao. “SONATA, An Evening of Classical Music and Filipino Art Songs” featuring soprano Stefanie Quintin, and classical guitarist Anton Luis Avila aims to raise funds for the museum’s exhibits and programs. Davao Museum celebrating its 40th year was in 1977 on a donated lot in Insular Village in Lanang district, it has sustained its operations through the generous support of patrons, private and corporate sponsors, the media, the academe, and the Southern Mindanao communities. It is being managed by the Davao Museum Foundation, Inc. The event held in partnership with Marco Polo Davao will feature the Manila-based duo Stefanie Quintin and Anton Luis Packing of relief goods.Staff and volunteers of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) pack the relief goods from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to serve the 1,683 flood victim families who Avila. BUTUAN CITY – The Department of Agriculture (DA) in Caraga welcomed its new OIC Regional Executive Director Alberto Ocampo, Jr. in a brief turnover ceremony on January 16, 2017 at its office here. Prior to his new post, Director Ocampo was the Chief Agriculturist of the Field Programs Coordination and Monitoring Division of DA central office. He has been in government

service for 35 years.
