Cops nab Aussie’s alleged accomplice By GERRY LEE GORIT
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – One of the accomplices of an Australian who was charged with trafficking in persons was arrested and will now be facing the same charges as she was arrested by law enforcers although she has maintained her innocence. According to Divisoria police station commander, Chief Inspector Maricris Mulat, the suspect, Ma. Dorothea Chi, denied she has nothing to do the trafficking of female minors who were forced into por-
nography by Peter Gerard Scully and his accomplices. Scully is now detained at the city jail here as his cases are being heard in local court. “She (Chi) said she is innocent. It just so happened that her close friend, a taxi driver, has a contact with Scully,” Mulat said, referring to a certain Alexander Lao. Chi told police she happened to ride the taxi Lao was driving as he brought a young girl to Davao allegedly upon the request of Scully. See nab, page 11
