Bomb scare shakes Iligan AFTER GRENADE BLAST

AGAYAN de Oro City--Bomb scare shook Iligan City after a grenade blast Wednesday night that injured three bystanders in the city’s public plaza there.
The Iligan City Police scrambled early Thursday morning after a resident reported a suspicious box placed beside the Quezon Street, a few meters away from the office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). Bomb experts, aided by bomb snipping dogs, rushed to Quezon Street past 6:40 Thursday morning as anxiety runs high among city residents following a grenade blast early Wednesday night in the city plaza inflicting minor injuries on bystanders. In a report monitored
from here Thursday, Jo Pantoja, the city information officer, said that no bomb was found in the cartoon. Pantoja then asked the residents for vigilance and sobriety as investigation into the Wednesday night grenade blast went high gear. “The city residents had come together to exercise vigilance following a grenade blast Wednesday night in the city plaza, a stonethrow from the city police station,” he said. to be standby during the Christmas and the New Year’s Eve celebration this year. He said that all municipal disaster risk reduction
coordinators had also been informed to be on alert during the Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebration. The provincial governor wants to make sure
