Devaras, Umpa Christmas village in 4th ID camp opens face charges in court By CRIS DIAZ, Executive Editor
CAGAYAN de Oro City--The personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detective Group (CIDG) and the Regional State Prosecutor (RSP) here were charged in court Friday. Lawyer Alejandro Pallugna has charged RSP Jaime Umpa and Chief Insp. Melgar Devaras, the CIDG acting chief in Northern Mindanao, with violation of the “Data Privacy Act of 2012.” The case stemmed from the arrest of Genard Abejo, 49, an administrative assistant assigned to the City Prosecutor Office (CPO) here last month in connection with the alleged “fixing” of cases in the CPO. CAMP Evangrlista, Cagayan de Oro City--The first-ever Christmas village in the 4th Infantry Division with the theme “Christmas traditions in the Philippines” dubbed as “Paskong Pinoy” officially opened at 6 p.m. on December 2, 2016 inside Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City. Caroling, parol-making, giving or exchanging of gifts, Noche Buena, and Simbang Gabi are among the five showcased Filipino Christmas traditions that were set in a village-type
booths. These are all located along Col. Rodriguez street from the main gate to the Diamond Park. The activity is in line with the intent Major Gen. Benjamin R.
