Try to become good everyday The Gospel of Jesus Christ (December1, 2016-Thursday) Matthew 7:21-29”Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heard these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto

a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heard these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a “foolish” man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it

School-Related Misbehavior of Pupils By Chona C. Borres – Master Teacher -I Kibatang Elementary School

The greatest resources for the future are the children and the youth. These young people should be assisted by the parents community and school for them to attain success and to reach their ideals. Along the way, some of them may face problems of all sorts that may hinder their quest for success. If they are in school, teachers supervision is very essential where preventive measures can be instituted. Pupils behavior can interfere with the educational process has always been a continuing concern and source of frustration for educators. As misbehavior increases into violence with increasing frequency, the issue attracts greater public concern. Schoolrelated misbehavior could be a result of the pupils inability to understand the concepts being taught and how these skills transcent to the context of different environment. It is another problem of adjusting and values of environment. Pupils common misbehavior are cannot submit home works, make absences, fight with classmates, say bad words, do not pay attention on

class discussion, talk while teachers explain, late comers, cheat , disrespect people, write on walls, cut classes and invent illness to cover up unexcused absences. Pupils misbehavior due to parents who always fight with each other, parents engaged in vices and parents which didn’t follow up and has inconsistent discipline to their siblings. Teacher should employ strategies and tactics that show pupils meaning in the classroom and in the community. If teachers will not help their pupils with misbehavior their academic performance will be affected. Pupils with behavioral problems may influence poor self-esteem, low achievement and low school -parent involvement. It is needed for the school to design appropriate programs for the treatment and prevention of the pupils behavioral problems. The functional guidance program can be very helpful. School, community, stakeholders and family may work full force to support this program. Involvement of parents in every school activity will promote allaround human development.

fell: and great was the fall of it: This gospel is telling us about the “false teachers of the law” as well as, the righteous teachers. This is proven in the gospel of Luke chapter 18:9-14the story of a Pharisee that claims of his good doings and condemning the “tax collector.” This means that preaching the words of God is not a guarantee to enter into the kingdom of God, but what is important is “living it as

an example.” Take note, Religiosity cannot save us alone but we need to live on it. Let us practice on what we say and what we profess to God. Be an example to anyone by making Jesus visible in your daily journey in life. Matthew 5:13-14”You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot

Biblical reflection by men. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. This is possible once you will try to become good everyday by the help of God. On the other hand, obeying God is the ultimate requirement for your salvation because this is showing that you are under his control: Printing paid by: Edith Ranoa - Jordan and Crespina Ranoa Bobong Balino– Cagayan De Oro: # 09187148435: Please have my latest

Davao IT-BPM Industry to benefit from Globe Business Davao Data Center

Growing exponentially, the information and communications technology (ICT) industry of Davao City, the largest local economy of southern Philippines and second largest economy to Metro Manila, will continue its upward trajectory ensuring economic development and providing employment opportunities in the region. Davao City was recognized in 2015 as the 66th information technology and business process-outsourcing (IT-BPO) destination of the top 100 IT-BPO destinations in the world. This underscores the maturity of the City and the greater Mindanao region of its ICT readiness and capability. With that in mind, Globe Business keeps its commitment to enabling a digital nation by accelerating the adoption of ICT enabled services across Philippine enterprises, specifically those

based in the southern region. Recently announced in the Wonderful World with Globe event in Davao, the Globe Business Davao Data Center will provide the ideal IT Infrastructure not only of businesses located in Davao, but also for enterprises in Luzon and Visayas. “Globe Business is aggressively ramping up on investments such as the Davao Data Center to help our enterprise clients achieve local and global competitiveness. Instead of worrying about the maintenance of information, equipment and assets, the data center will secure our customers’ ICT requirements and will allow them to focus on their day-to-day business operations,” said Globe Senior Advisor for Enterprise and IT-Enabled Services Group Mike Frausing Situated in the same area where the SEA-US Davao Cable landing station is, the

ILIGAN CITY -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) together with the members of the Local Price Coordinating Council (LPCC) of Iligan conducted an enforcement activity to curtail the selling and proliferation of uncertified and substandard Christmas lights in the market. The standards enforcement team led by DTI, inspected 14 stores and issued Notice of Violation to one store which was found selling Christmas lights not bearing the Import Com-

modity Clearance (ICC) sticker or the Philippine Standard (PS) Mark. An inventory of Christmas lights from another store was conducted and pulled out from the display area pending validation of its status, whether exempted or not. The presence of quality mark shows Bureau of Product Standards (BPS) certifies the product quality and that it is safe to use. The team confiscated a total of 16 boxes from two different stores amounting

close to P150,000. The issued Notice of Violation orders the storeowners to explain with 48 hours on the charges or else administrative fines will be imposed on them. A set of Christmas lights is required to undergo the BPS Certification Scheme, wherein manufacturers and importers are required to apply for a PS License or ICC certificate before their products are sold in the market. They are also required to place the PS mark or the ICC sticker on the product

or packaging prior to distribution to their retailers for sale. DTI Consumer Welfare Division staff led the enforcement team, assisted by LPCC member agencies from the City Police Office, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Statistics Authority, National Food Authority, and local government departments composed of Economic Enterprise Development Management Office, City Agriculture, City Veterinary, Permits

on November 21 while students from University of the Philippines at Los Baῆos (UPLB) are scheduled to tour Monsanto’s Refuge-InBag (RIB) Facility in Pulilan, Bulacan on November 25. “We are pleased to open our doors to interested students so they can see for themselves the work that we do and how we are able to contribute to the development of the Philippine agriculture sector, “ said Chat Ocampo, Monsanto’s Corporate Affairs Lead. “We also see this as an excellent opportunity to know the thoughts of some millennials and address whatever queries they may have about our company.” Meantime, Monsanto’s Pathology and Discovery Breeding Lead Lynn Rallos challenged the students to analyze critically and not accept information as fact immediately. “You must dissect the information and analyze the nature of experimentation and the quality of data around any claim or statement. False or baseless allegations which capitalize on people’s fear of what they do not understand should not be sensationalized and should be discouraged,” Rallos said. Meanwhile, UPLB students will be met at the Pulilan Plant by Monsanto’s Regulatory, Policy and Scientific Affairs Lead, Dr. Gabby Romero and Plant Manager Maricis Pelarca who will also give them a briefing on agricultural biotechnology and Monsanto’s contribution to Philippine agriculture. “We hope that more and more members of the younger generation will be interested to know about the latest technologies in agriculture and be assured of the fact that we need to harness these technologies so we can safely achieve food security for our evergrowing world population,” Ocampo said.

Children Reading Habits By Jenelyn C. Carillo –Teacher III Kibatang Elementary School

But how can we achieve this if most of our children are non- readers or cannot comprehend well. Consumers must also make sure that the Christmas lights they buy are not more than three years from the date of manufacture.
