CAGAYAN de Oro City-The number of stray dogs in the city has reached an alarming level and City Veterinarian Perla Asis attributed it to the lack of animal shelters. Asis said the city has dog pound located at Barangay Indahag but it was closed in 2011 along with a cattle farm. She said a cattle farm was later built in Barangay Balubal but the old dog pound was washed away later that year when the floods spawned by tropical storm Sendong.
