DAVAO City––Five more names have been added to the official family of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte who, according to his Executive Assistant, might serve in a concurrent capacity as Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) until he finds the right person for the job. THE Department of Science and Technology (DOST) on Saturday shared some images from Diwata-1, the country’s first microsatellite. DIWATA-1 has four cameras for earth observations. CAGAYAN de Oro City-The City Police Chief here on Friday appealed for public support in the campaign against drug trafficking in this port capital of Northern Mindanao. Pol. Sr. Supt. Faro Antonio Olaguera, City Police Director of Cagayan De Oro, issued the appeal after brandishing the list of names of suspected drug pushers and users in various villages in preparation

for the implementation of “Oplan Tokhang” or “Toktok ug Hangyo” (Knock-knock and appeal) on June 30. He said that the local police is in close coordination with the regional drug enforcement agency and village officials through their respective Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council in validating and updating the list of drug personalities. “Once the list is validated and updated, we would conduct a drug clearing operation in the city’s villages,” Olaguera said.
