Daba wants relas, sikads to use reflectorized stickers By GERRY LEE GORIT Correspondent
CAGAYAN de Oro City––City Councilor Annie Daba, in her special report to the City Council this week, called for more protection for drivers and passengers of motorelas and trisikads in barangays. Daba said these modes of transportation must have reflectorized stickers to prevent accidents at night. She also said that reflectors must be installed on center islands from barangay Puerto to barangay Bulua. Daba acted on a complaint from a balikbayan who reported of a near accident
in Puerto because of lack of reflectorized sticker on a trisikad. She also narrated the recent road accident in Lapasan where a funeral car figured in a collision causing the death of one person. The reflectorized stickers will warn drivers early because these can be seen from a distance. Daba has asked ABC president Alam Lim to help barangay captains to give warning devices to the motorelas and trisikads. She has also asked Councilor Alden Bacal, chair of the committee on See stickers, page 11
