For the first time ever, Columbia brought its Trail Masters OffRoad Duathlon Series to Cagayan de Oro, marking the first time the company has ever staged multi-sport event in the City of Golden Friendship Some 112 competitors registered for the threestage off-road race held Sunday, 25 September 2016 but only 89, including 4 females,

crossed the finish line at the High Ridge Hilltop Restaurant at Barangay Macasandig. The event was organized by Transition Productions in coordination with Columbia Sportswear in its thrust to promote an active and outdoor lifestyle. THE City Schools Division in Cagayan de Oro started rolling out Dugong Guro, a blood drive among public school teachers and non-teaching personnel within the Division. According to Division medical officer Dr. Mark Meso, this is in line with the program initiated by Department of Education (DepEd) 10 director Allan

Farnazo. Meso said that the regional office of DepEd initiated the blood donation drive because there is dire need of blood in these months where there is prevalence of dengue cases in Northern Mindanao notably in Cagayan de Oro City. A total of 4,000 teachers and nonschools/PAGE 11
