o increase vegetable consumption among Filipinos and to further foster good vegetable eating habit among the young ones, EastWest Seed Philippines conducted an inter-school Pinakbet cooking challenge all over Mindanao on Friday, November 7 at the Asian College of Science and Technology (ACSAT), this city.
Ronald D. Adorable, field marketing supervisor said they have tapped schools for this year specifically Culinary and Hotel and Restaurant Management students so that they will promote vegetables and its benefits to their
communities. "Through this, we are encouraging the young ones to eat vegetables," Adorable said. "Aside from that, these young ones are now able to cook Pinakbet, they can cook it at home plus
they can share meal with their family," he added. According to Adorable, 11 schools participated namely Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology, AMA Computer Learning Center- Agusan

"East-West Seed company is committed not only to produce vegetable seedlings but also to promote vegetable benefits and good vegetable eating habits to our customers," Adorable said. Competitors from Green Valley College Foundation,
Koronadal City, South Cotabato were declared champions, with a score of 88.80%. The winning pair is Michael Dave M. Nalagon and Jowie T. Carale, with coach Juvic Salvador.
