Interestingly, UCPB also brought in Master Hanz Cua to present the Easter Approach to Business Forecasting using the art of Feng Shui, which has been used by Chinese geomancers for centuries to foretell and prepare for

the forthcoming events, both good and bad.

According to Master Hanz, Feng Shui is an ancient art and science developed over 5,000 years ago in China.

Master Hanz offers some general rules that may be helpful to implement in your place of business: is important. In both cases, they should always be facing towards the entrance but not sit directly in front of the door.

The WEALTH area is in the far left corner of your office/store. It is good to use the appropriate enhancements (color, artwork or furniture) to energize this area. An aquarium with 9 goldfish, a money plant with gold or red ribbons or the cash box/cash register can be place here. You may also hold your business deals/ planning in this area.

Energize your FAME corner (located in the South). All business could use good promotion and exposure. There are ways to energize your Fame corner; placing artwork or decor that has red or contains Fire symbols (triangles), placing a painting or scroll with a red phoenix or peacock, or putting objects and furniture that are wood (Wood element strengthens Fire).

Make sure to use

appropriate lighting.

Lights are often used as energizers in Feng Shui.

Lights represent Fire element. They attract or raise ch’i in a room or space and influence vibrant activity in people.

According to Master Hanz Cua, 2015: The year of the Wood Sheep in Chinese Zodiac is represented by the benign and spiritual characteristics of the lamb, a gentle creature who grazes on grass and abhors bloodshed.

The Feng Shui chart has all the Five Elements (Wood, Water, Metal, Fire and Earth) in proper balance, heralding a more harmonious year.

Yin Metal supports the Earth which is a resource element so there will be a boost of prosperity for our nation’s economy.

The gentle nature of the Sheep will even influence local politics. Our leaders will work together more, and internal strife will decrease.

North is the lucky direction in 2015. If your front door is located in the northern or Kan sector of the Bagua it is highly auspicious. Use this door often. Blue or black is the color of North, a welcome mat in this color will enhance luck.

In the Northwest sits the lucky “star of romance”, and this brings romance luck for single people; for those men already married or in committed relationship, however, the star of romance may be problematic. The temptation to stray from your partner may be strong.

While we can take advantage of the good tidings the Wood Sheep brings, Master Hanz cautions there are still things we need to watch out for: The West Falls under the dreaded Five Yellow Misfortune Star. OPS to host 1st Mindanao Photo Summit The Oro Photographic Society Inc. (OPS) will host the 1st Mindanao Photo Summit in Cagayan de Oro City on July 31-August 2, this year.

Photo enthusiasts, hobbyists, and professionals in Mindanao and other parts of the country are expected to converge at the Ayala Centrio Mall to participate in basic and advanced photography seminars lined up during the convergence with widely renowned resource persons.

Master travel and underwater photographer Annaliza Barrera will discuss “Basic Photography,” while Canon ambassador Ibarra Deri will talk about “Portrait Photography” and “Product Photography”.

Another Canon ambassador, Edwin Martinez, will lecture on “Landscape Photography,” to be followed by Francisco Mark Floro, also a Canon ambassador.

All lectures will have workshop or hands-on sessions.

All five topics can be had for

only P2,500 (standard rate), P1,500 (early bird rate, good until June 30), or P1,000 (student rate, with current valid school ID).

The official registration form and other details are available at our Facebook website “1st Mindanao Photo Summit”, with the theme “Island Interlinks,” the summit will also showcase photographic equipment, gears, accessories, and other related products will be on exhibit.

OPS has teamed up with the Philippine Center for Creative Imaging (PCCI), Department of Tourism-Northern Mindanao, Bombo Radyo, Magnum Radyo, Mindanao Daily News, and BusinessWeek Mindanao to bring this event to the city.

Parallel to the Summit is the holding of the “OPS Kagay-an Photography Contest” to spice up the fiesta celebration from August 1 to August 31.

Like the photo summit, it aims at enhancing the position of the city in the country's tourism map.

Mindanao Association for Quality caps 2015 meet today

SAN Ignacius Fundacion de Salud, Inc. CEO Dr. Meneleo Navarro will be the guest speaker in the last leg of the two-day 2015 Regional Quality Circles Convention of the Mindanao Association for Quality (MAQ) at 1:30 p.m. today at Mallberry Suites Business Hotel here in Cagayan de Oro City.

Dr. Navarro will be talking on Health Issues Affecting Productivity in the yearly meet which draws more than 100 partners in the industrial sector in Northern Mindanao.

Aside from talks on ASEAN Integration: Its Implication to SMEs, Quality Circles in the Philippines, Quality Assurance in Financial Management and Trends in Food Safety, there were also showcase project contests with the following entries and their

respective participants: Reduction of Diced Papaya Spillages (Del Monte Philippines), An Experiment to determine Possible Reduction in the Wheat Conditioning Time of the Experimental Milling Process (Pilmico Foods Corp.), Provision of Overtail Spout and Hopper for BC#5 Belt Conveyor at Intake Plant (Pilmico Foods Corp.), Packaging Line #12 Krones Labeler Roller Flange Improvement (Pilmico Foods Corp.), Idle Time Reduction (Mindanao University of Science and Technology) and Improper Time Management (Mindanao University of Science and Technology).

In her message during the event, MAQ president Elvira Cajigas said “this year’s theme Translate Work through Quality Circles is a fitting recognition of human efforts in

the improvement of work environment through teamworks.

The convention will also bring persons with quality and productivity expertise in their chosen fields of endeavor to talk about their experiences and how they cope with the fast changes in the environment, business and government to align with the dynamics in the global perspective.”

A false attestation shall subject the lawyer to disciplinary action, including disbarment.

A party who fails to submit the required judicial affidavits and exhibits shall be deemed to have waived their submission. The court, however, may allow only once the late submission provided the delay is for a valid reason and would not unduly prejudice the opposing party, and the defaulting party pays a FINE OF NOT LESS THAN Php 1,000.00 NOR MORE THAN Php 5,000.00.
