Krystal, who turns 17 this July, is the only daughter of Eulalia Frances Llenos Jayme, an OFW based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A single parent since Krystal was 9 years old, Weng, as she is known to friends, is an award winning blogger whose grit and determination to allow Krystal to pursue her

dreams has rubbed off on her daughter. (https://cebuanawithlove. wordpress. com/2012/09/18/ awardee-for-an-obraaward-of-exlink-eventsoutstanding-filipinoblogger/) Although she started relatively late at 11, Krystal’s violin playing full story/PAGE 3

Filinvest One Oasis Cagayan de Oro:

Usable Green Features benefit community and home owners Many residential developments these days like to tout their ecologically-friendly, or ‘green features’ as helping combat climate change, complete with certificates from international certifying bodies to boot. But Filinvest One Oasis Cagayan de Oro would rather focus on eco-friendly features that actually benefit home owners (and not merely serve as marketing attractions for Trash bin which segragates garbage into biodegradable, developers) and even the non-biodegradable and recyclable materials community around them.

Take its Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), for instance. Republic Act # 9003 (Ecological Waste Management Act of 2000) defines MRF as a facility designed to efficiently sort and store recyclable materials (paper, tins, glass, plastic and the like) in an environmentally sound manner. The Environment Management Bureau (EMB) aims to set up one in every community in response to the mounting green/PAGE 7

Anvil to launch Kagay-anon author’s first novel:

The Girl Between Two Worlds by Kristyn Maslog-Levis By MIKE BAÑOS

We bookworms in Cagayan de Oro must be proud of our city: two books by two home grown authors within the year and both overseas! After Annie Gorra’s The Mystery on 17th Street earlier this year, now comes Kristyn Maslog-Levis The Girl Between Two Worlds, incidentally both published by Anvil Publishing Inc., the publishing arm of National Book Store

(NBS). Kagay-anons thank the people in Anvil who championed our home-grown talents like Annie and KK! Incidentally, there’s another common thread running through these authors besides both hailing from Cagayan de Oro: they were both previously with media, Annie with broadcast and print (Newscope and Frontline Mindanao) and KK with ABS-CBN full story/PAGE 2
