hen I was in New York many Christmas have gone by I remember just sitting at the rooftop having a cup of coffee crying I live near La Guardia airport down in Queens so as a plane passes each time I have been telling myself I am going home tom. The sadness is so overwhelming that no matter how successful you are and you have everything nothing can replace the love you needed from the family .My children were 8000 miles away from me and it hurts me everyday to be away from them. The pain I felt not having them resulted to finding serenity from the hugs and love from the children I was teaching at Sunday school at Rock
Church Ministries .I had 32 children on my class ages 4 to 7 teaching them art and reading and teaching them about the Bible. I found love on those children that Sunday was the only happy day for me .I made a promise to God if he would bring me home I will serve him and I will help children in the Philippines. A covenant I cannot forget. So when I came home last April I knew I have a job to do.A conviction to do Gods work is a pure manifestation of what God has done in my life. After being away for 7 years I came home and finding my children obedient, respectful and kind.Having to live without me for so long would mean rebellion to me and the love missing
would drive them to hate me.But instead I have felt needed and loved and missed.That alone God have shown me His grace .My heart had so much love that I cannot wait to share it to those who doesn’t have it.So Give a Gift was born.I started this last year and it was year round of charity.I have over 350 kids from Tahananan ng Kabataan,Boystown
and the Sendong victims of Molugan El Salvador down to the sick children of JR Borja City Hospital. It was a joy for me.Such a Joy that it tears me apart how they cry to hug me and say thank you.My commitment grew with this children I have felt their sorrow with years of neglect from their own family,the abuse the pain they feel everyday sikat/PAGE 7

A four-year-old salon and spa aimed for a more central location in Cagayan de Oro City and transferred at the heart of Divisoria’s downtown last December. Jane Coupland, owner of IsaBella Salon and Spa, said she is thankful to Divinity for the blessings that her salon and spa had received since 2011 since they started at a small place around NHA in Kauswagan. In 2012, IsaBella Salon and Spa transferred to the central part of Kauswagan until Coupland decided to make the ground level of Hernandez Bldg. along Pabayo-San Agustin her new home. Even during its Kauswagan days, IsaBella Salon and Spa has been catering hair
and makeup to massbased events such as corporate engagements, proms, debuts, weddings, children’s parties, etc. Because of that, Coupland was confident that her salon and spa could compete with existing rivals in Divisoria, thus the

Bringing smiles, casting hopes Capping the year 2015, FDC Misamis Power Corporation (FDC Misamis) held a simple yet meaningful gift-giving activity at Kimaya Elementary School (KES) in Villanueva town last December. KES, about 24 kilometers from the town’s poblacion, is the farthest school in Villanueva District. Dubbed as “My Little Bag of Hope” project, the activity is aimed at bringing smiles as well as hopes among 138 pupils belonging to the underprivileged members of the Higaonon tribe in the said barangay during the Holiday Season. Aside from giftgiving, FDC Misamis also brought with them a magical show and balloon twisting clown that wowed the young
and old audiences. Parlor games participated in by FDC Misamis employeevolunteers with the selected pupils and parents enlivened the party. “That’s because we care about you… we care about our communities,” Fritzie Joyce Gacutan, FDCUI Corporate Communications manager, told the crowd also composed of teachers and parents. Added Gacutan: “Our employees have personally contributed to give you these gifts but the very message we want to share is not about the bags of gifts but for you to always be reminded why we are celebrating this Season of Giving and to always cast hopes amidst the challenges you have or you
may encounter.” “Thanks for thinking about us. Thanks for really remembering us,” stressed Jocelyn Caronia, teacher-in-charge of KES. She said, “As far as I can recall since 1995, this was the first time that a private company held such gift-giving plus a magic show that truly brought laughter and smiles among our pupils.” “This is great! This is the first time! This is one-of-a-kind!” declared Caronia. Kimaya village chief Celso Yagma also expressed happiness with the activity. “I can’t help but to say thank you to FDC Misamis for making our kids and their parents not just happy but overflowing with joy this Christmas. And I am
also happy seeing my constituents joyous and cheerful.” “For my 13 years of stay here in Kimaya, this is the first time that I have witnessed this wonderful event. Our kids really enjoyed it so much,” said MaricelUbal-Ubal, 32, and mother of four. started working with FDC Misamis on December 1, 2015, hoped to experience more worthy causes especially when the power firm starts its operations this year. FDC Misamis, a subsidiary of FDC Utilities, Inc. (FDCUI), is building the biggest power project in Northern Mindanao, a 405-MW Circulating Fluidized Bed coal thermal plant at the Phividec Industrial Estate in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental. The FDC Misamis power plant will utilize state-ofthe-art clean fuel technology and is expected to start commercial operations this 2016.

New Year’s Resolutions To Consider

During this time of the year, I always hear people ask one another… “What’s your New Year’s resolution?” New year means there should be new changes and improvements that must be made in our lives to have a better future. It’s advisable to make a list of important changes that you want to make in your lives. Most people fail to be consistent in doing them. It takes a lot of willpower and courage to do so but you can surely do it as long as you believe that you can. They should be what you really want, though, and not just imposed on you by another. Here’s a partial list that I made to make it easier for you to come up with New Year’s
resolutions. These are just my suggestions. Do whatever works for you and makes you happy. 1.) Spend time with the people who matter ONLY. Choose who you surround yourself with. When you surround yourself with positive human beings, your life will become better. 2.) Exercise more. For me, the best exercise is walking on my treadmill. I usually just exercise 3 to 4x a week just to stay fit and feel good. When you exercise you not only burn all those fats but you feel so much energy in you. 3.) Eat healthy. I believe in balance. I eat anything but in small portions. That’s my secret so I don’t gain too much weight. 4.) Earn even more money because life is more fun when you have lots of money to spend to buy things that you want and do whatever you want to do with your life. 5.) Travel and see the world. Start young or it might be too late. Now is the perfect time. 6.) Choose positivity always. No matter what happens to you, always tell yourself, “Everything

happens for a good reason.” 7.) Laugh more and remove stress from your life. Laughter is the best medicine! Stress can make you sick. 8.) Do charity work in your own little ways. Take time to help the needy. It feels really good to be able to help others. 9.) Be grateful at all times. Count all your blessings instead of looking at your problems. 10.) Have your regular check-up no matter how healthy you feel. I just had my executive check-up. It’s once a year. Just to make sure everything is perfect. 11.) Learn something new like cooking, baking, painting, swimming, basketball, music, a different language or whatever. 12.) Give more love. Love God, love yourself more, love others. Give love to receive love. 13.) Let go of negativity in your life. Let go of people that hurt you. Let go of anger and hatred. Let karma do its work for your own good. 14.) Be happy no
matter what. Always choose to be happy even in bad times. 15.) Always spend time with your children so that you could help make this world a better place because they grow up to be happier human beings. Those are just some of my suggestions. I hope that you'll use them to your advantage. But remember, every new day is a chance to improve ourselves when we decide to do so. It’s never to late to start. Always choose to become a

Happy New Year 2016 Happy New Year my dear readers! Finally, I am back again after almost two weeks time-out. Several days even without Internet and cellphone? Can you imagine that? Of course, during Christmas Eve and New Years Night, I stayed in Davao City and enjoyed the 15th season without firecracker explosions. Imagine, the pyrotechnic materials had to be flown in via Butuan City and from there transported by land until Panabo City. From Panabo, which is located at the boundary with Davao, the materials had to be transported by boat to Samal Island fronting Davao.
Well, at any corner we do find and read 2016 wish lists now. I have one too - of course. 1. Let’s not strike back, if someone is rude, if someone is impatient, if someone is unkind, Let’s not respond in a like manner. 2. Let’s be careful about what we say (and write!). Let’s carefully choose our words. Gossip is out! 3. Let’s go the extra-mile. Let’s find ways to help share the burdens of others. 4. Let’s do something nice for someone but secretly. You can reach out anonymously and bless the life of others. 5. Let’s treat others the way, I
wish to be treated. Do you remember the golden rule: “Do unto others as I would have them do unto me!”? 6. Let’s raise the spirit of someone disheartened. Our smile, our words, our expression of support - yes, everything can make the difference to someone who is wrestling with life. 7. Let’s nurture our bodies and let’s eat less and only healthy foods. 8. Let’s grow spiritually and spend a little more time in prayer. Especially for global apeace! 9. Let’s begin reading something spiritual or inspirational. 10. Let’s find a quite place, listen to God’s voice and pray

The hurt in their voices and each child I sat down with gave me a longing to do more for them.I would like to appeal to the whole world of how I can better their lives. Each day I think about them and save some little savings for them so when my Give a Gift happens each Year I have some fund to use for them.I am not rich or anything but the happiness I feel each time I see them gave me an inspiration that I can do more regardless of the resources and the availability of thick funds to sustain it,its an advocacy to help this children recognize and know Gods Love and His grace.I am willing to sacrifice my life for this children not only for them all the children that’s needs love and attention. My dream to have my own foundation built to have a home for them with teachers that I can compensate to help them learn and at least teach some technical skills so when they are ready they can have a better life on their own and have their own family.
Last Dec.22 I was very excited.The night before I gathered my children and we wrapped the kids presents everyone was so happy while we were playing Christmas songs .I told them I hope that they can understand that I may not give them gifts this Christmas because what I have saved this year is enough to give to the children and they told me they don’t mind .I told them that they are blessed.When I came to Tahanan ng Kabataan that day they all run to me and hugged me. last December 28 to 29, 2015 at Limketkai Center Parking Lot D. It was a car and motor show all rolled into one with competitions in various categories such as drifting and sound-off, which was supervised by the European Mobile Media Association (EMMA). There were
27 cars which participated in Clash of the Wheels 2 and 16 motorcycles coming from all over Mindanao. Overflowing classy trophies and other assorted prizes were given to the owners of the winning motorcycles and four-wheeled vehicles such as heavily-modified
pickups, tuner cars, cars loaded with full setup audio, among others. For the sound off competition, it had a total of three overall categories – SQ, ESQL and ESPL. SQ stands for sound quality, ESQL for EMMA Sound Quality League and ESPL for EMMA Sound Pressure League. To pump up the event, there was a surprise guesting from GMA artist Stephanie Mae Sol (who hails from Cagayan de Oro), appearance by babes of JAPS Accessories, an intermission from RSS Girlz and a marathon dance music mixing by DJ Jay-r Chan.
