COHARA honors Judges & Partners in Kumbira’s 20th Anniversary Party “Now we’re not only teaching but also learning from the competitors”

he Cagayan de Oro Hotel and Restaurant Association (COHARA) honored judges and partners in an evening show dubbed “Kumbira Moments” to mark the 20th anniversary of the flagship annual culinary show and competition now acknowledged to be the biggest and best outside Metro Manila. The evening extravaganza hosted by LimketkaiLuxe Hotel through Mr. & Mrs. Albino Limketkai of Limketkai Sons Inc. honored eight Kumbira judges who have served in that capacity for the last decade and beyond. Honored were Chef Alejandro “Sandy” Daza (10 years), Chef Josefina “Jessie” C.

Sincioco (11 yrs), Chef Myrna Segismundo (11 yrs), Chef Penk Tan (13 yrs), Ms. Michaela “Micky” FenixMacabenta (13 yrs), Chef Dietmar Dietrich (13 yrs, also the first corporate judge invited in 1996); Chef Norbert Gandler (14 yrs.) and Chef Eduardo Tuazon (18 yrs). Celebrity Chef Sandy Daza shares his Kumbira exprience along with other notable chefs and judges during Kumbira cohara/PAGE 5 Moments held 16 August 2016 at Limketkai Luxe Hotel.

A ​ yala Business Club holds blood drive THE Cagayan de Oro chapter of the Ayala Business Club held a blood drive and free medical checkup last Friday at Centrio. Ayala Business Club chapter PRO Rica Alinas said that the twin activities are part of their year-round outreach and corporate social responsibility. Here in Cagayan de Oro, the Ayala Business Club is composed of Ayala Land – Alegria, Amaia, Avida, Ayala Corp.,

Ayala Foundation, Ayala Property Management Corp., Bellavita, BPI, BPI Family Savings Bank, BPI MS, BPI Phil-Am, Centrio, Globe, Honda Cars, Makati Development Corporation, Seda Centrio and Centrio. A total of 187 bags of blood were collected after the activity, 87 of which would go to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC). The remaining 36 bags would be allotted to the Philippine Red

Cross. It was learned that the total blood donated could save 369 persons. Four physicians from NMMC practicing Family Medicine also lent their expertise in the event for the free medical checkup. Free medicines for fever, cough and flu were distributed to the walk-in patients courtesy of Centrio.
