Teen apprehended for concealing knife CAMP RAFAEL RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City - A teener, accused of attempting to rob a woman, was collared by the police along A.D. Curato Street in Butuan City, evening of June 12, this year. Jomar Saytona Fuentes, 18 years old, single, of Purok-12, Barangay 16, Ong Yiu, Butuan City landed in the Butuan City Police Office (BCPO) detention cell after a chase resulting in his arrest by PO2 Rudic Dizon. A 10-inch hunting knife, including the handle and scabbard, was confiscated from him, prompting the police to CONCEALING | page 11

HE Department of Education (DepEd) has allotted P100 million to finance education capacity-building initiatives for Indigenous Peoples (IPs), part of the department’s continuing thrust to make education universal and inclusive of all learners. Education Secretary Armin A. Luistro FSC said the fund allotted by DepEd comes with implementing guidelines on its allocation and utilization for IPs educa-

SURIGAO CITY – The City Agriculture Office, under City Agriculturist Isaias Elumba, has recently identified another fish sanctuar y in Sitio Sumilom, Barangay. Lipata this city.

According to Elumba, the said sanctuar y will serve as breeding site for different aqua marine species. Meanwhile, City Mayor Ernesto Matugas, promised that such program
