MISAMIS Oriental 2nd District Representative Juliette T. Uy will seek re-election in 2016, according to her husband Villanueva Mayor Julio T. Uy. “She will definitely run again,” Mayor Uy said. He added, however, that it is not yet clear who will be the other candidates for the same position, but hinted that the two major political parties in the province will be fielding their candidates. Mayor Uy said the Liberal Party and the Padayon Pilipino party have been heard to be choosing their candidates at present. “We anticipate there will be someone from each party,” he said. “But I see that Juliette will get support from most of the municipal mayors,” he said. HEAVY rains associated with the Inter tropical Convergence Zone (ITC) flooded three barangays of Cagayan de Oro on Sunday afternoon, the National Disaster Risk Reducation Ma n a g e m e nt C o u n c i l (NDRRMC) reported. The NDRRMC said 69 families were affected after floodwaters struck the city at 4 p.m. Sunday.
