UNAWAN, Agusan del Sur – The remains of “Lolong,” the world’s largest saltwater crocodile that died in captivity, was exhumed, Thursday, at its burial site inside the fenced artificial pond where the crocodile stayed after it was captured since September 3, 2011.

The remains will be brought for taxidermy at the National Museum in Metro Manila, but soon after be brought back for display at the town’s eco-park, officials assured. Councilor Ronald Nuer, chair of the special committee for the preservation of the remains of

MOA for “Adopt a Hospital” Program set to ink in Surigao Sur

TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur - A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for “Adopt a Hospital” program is set to ink this morning with the Department of Health (DOH), Provincial Local Government, Montero Medical Missions (MMM) and 10 other public and private corporate groups. The event shall take place this morning at the Provincial Social Hall, here in the city. According to MMM Eyesight 2020 Program Director Christopher Buniel, expected to grace the occasions are DOH officials, headed by Secretary Enrique T. Ona and Under Secretary Ted Herbosa; and the Foreign Mission Team – the MMM-Eyesight 2020, headed by Filipino-American Juan Montero II and the local medical mission team. The “Adopt a Hospital” program where Adela Serra Ty Memorial Medical Center (ASTMMC) is the recipient hospital here will be the first to be implemented in Surigao del Sur, after DOH issued the guidelines on Foreign Surgical and Medical Missions FSMM thru an Administrative Order 2012-0030 on December 21, 2012. The program was implemented locally by the provincial government under the leadership of LOLONG EXHUMED - Workers clean with water the skeletal remains of “Lolong” after the exhumation Governor Johnny T. The PCV vaccination for infants is part of the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) of the health department, which provides free vaccines that protect the infant children from the common vaccine preventable diseases that help address the reduction of child mortality. DOH Assistant Sec. Enrique Tayag, who graced the
