THE Palace on Sunday (February 15) said the country remained on alert amid terror threats from followers of Malaysian terrorist Zulkifli bin Hir alias Marwan to avenge his death. In a radio interview Sunday, Presidential Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. said the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, National Bureau of Investigation, and other security authorities remain vigilant against possible bombing attacks from Marwan’s sympathizers. “Our security authorities continued to be on alert against any threat to national security,” he said. Budiongan, area manager of the Civil Aeronautics Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), as a resource person to explain why, until now, there are no night flights at the Laguindingan airport in Laguindinga town in Misamis Oriental. Mr. Budiongan explained that the airport is already equipped with necessary equipment to accommodate night flights but the airline companies are still fixing their schedules to fit the night flights for Laguindingan Airport.
