SURIGAO City––Like the other maritime disasters in the country, the sinking of M/V Maharlika 2 almost two weeks ago may land in the halls of Congress too. Rep. Guillermo A. Romarate, Jr., of the 2nd District of Surigao del Norte said he was contemplating to make a legislative inquiry on the sea mishap.
Romarate said he wanted an investigation because the management of Maharlika 2 seemed to have not attended to at least some of the survivors and families of the dead passengers of the ill-fated ferry.
