TALACOGON, Agusan del Sur––Thousands of residents in the four river towns of this province will no longer bear the brunt of the perennial low voltage power supply especially during peak hours which they have been suffering for many years.

Camiguin cites devts for 2014 By GERRY LEE GORIT Correspondent
CAGAYAN de Oro City–– Health care, airport improvement, product development and tourism promotion top the list of projects undertaken and to be undertaken by the provincial government of Camiguin in 2014. Governor Jesus Jurdin Romualdo said the island province is gearing up for more developments this year following the Seal of Good Governance award it received from the Department of Interior and Local Government. Sultan Ibrahim Limbona Marmay is the new ‘Sultan sa Balindong’ By Irene Joy B. Dayo Staff Member
Sultan Ibrahim Limbona Marmay was successfully enthroned as Sultan sa Balindong, proclaimed by the 16 Royal Houses of Lanao lead by its chairman, Sultan Mayor Topaan Disomimba, the Sultan sa Masiu and incumbent mayor of Islamic municipality of Tamparan, Lanao del Sur. The enthronement was held on December 31, 2013 at Lilod, Balindong, Lanao del Sur. Sultan Marmay was unanimously voted to inherit the crown of Sultan sa Balindong after over three years of vacancy of the crown following the death of late Sultan Cosain Radiamoda. More than 2,000 people which include religious leaders, professionals, government officials, relatives, friends and residents welcomed Sultan Marmay who just traveled all the way from Saguiaran, Marawi City and Marantao. Present in the enthronement were 16 Royal Houses of Lanao headed by Sultan Mayor Topaan Disomimba and all other sultans like the 28 Legislative Council of Lanao. There were also datus, cabugatans and baes. Sultan sa Ranao, Sultan Mayor Matura Manabilang also graced the event and served as guest speaker. In his speech, he recognized the effort of four Pangampong of Lanao composed of 16 Royal Houses of Lanao who lead and work hard together with the ulamas, baes and people of Lanao for the development and maintenance of peace and order in the sultanate and to achieve progress in the place. looking forward to serve more and implement programs for the improvement of Balindong town. Sultan Marmay is son of first Sultan sa Balindong, Sultan Marmay Radiamoda. He is happily married to Hadja Kumala Salih Marmay, grand daughter of Mayor Laling Has-
san of Parang Sulu and niece of Congressman Tupay Loong of Jolo, Sulu and Vice Governor Benjamin Loong of Sulu, as well. They were blessed with five children. Sultan Marmay is also the incumbent Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II of Iligan City and Lanao del Norte.
