‘Closed Season’ policy continues to protect Gulf

AVAO CITY – The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) in the region has started the second year implementation of the closed season policy of the Davao Gulf in a bid to conserve small pelagic fishes.

Just like last year, the Davao Gulf will be closed for fishing operations that use ringnet and bagnet fishing gears regardless of tonnage, starting June to August which is the spawning period of small pelagic fishes.

The closed season policy of the gulf is covered under Joint Administrative Order No. 02 signed

in 2014 by the Department of Agriculture and Department of Interior and Local Government.

BFAR-XI together with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), PNP Maritime Unit and Philippine Navy is implementing the Order.

BFAR-XI has sent off Thursday six patrol boats to be deployed across the

Davao Gulf to tighten watch over the gulf which has a total area of 3,087 kilometers starting from Talagotong Point in Don Marcelino town, Davao Occidental to Cape San Agustin, Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental.

Fatma Idris, BFAR-XI regional director, said the patrol vessels will intensify monitoring of individuals or group of fisherfolks violating the Order, especially in hotspot areas like Governor Generoso, Lupon and San Isidro in Davao Oriental, Sta. Cruz in Davao del Sur, Sta. Maria in Davao Occidental and Samal Island in Davao del Norte.

Idris emphasized that the closed season is providing time for pelagic fishes to produce eggs and grow until the fish reaches to its exact length called length at first maturity.

Jose Villanueva, chief of the Fisheries Management Regulatory and Enforcement Division, bared that fish eggs have been observed since third week of May this year.

“Though the figure is not significant, but there was still growth,” he stated.

When asked by the media concerning fisherfolks who complained and to asked lessen the three-month period of the closure season, Idris said that so far there’s no complaint and request that reached her office.

She said if there would be request for adjustment of the duration, her office would be willing to sponsor a consultation or meeting with the fisherfolks.

According to the website of the Davao Gulf Management Council,

Davao Gulf is a feeding and breeding ground for small pelagic and seasonal migration site, breeding and nursery ground for large pelagic.

Small pelagic fishes are fishes that live near the surface or in the water column of coastal, ocean, usually caught by both commercial and municipal fishing gears like bagnet, ringnet, and other modified fishing gears of similar operations.

Small pelagic fishes include variety of mackerel species or locally called karabalyas, the roundscad species with a local name galonggong or moro-moro and the variety of big eye scad species locally known as matambaka. (PIA)

The Tourism Czar Butch Chan further stressed that during the Northern Mindanao Pasundayag 2015 held at the SM Clark Pampanga, Ozamiz made a very remarkable iconic and best historical structure for the tourism industry to see and during the event in Region 3, Northern Luzon and in the country. Of the more 1.2 million gross sales of products Ozamis City contributed around 80% of the total sales and the seaweed crackers was the best seller

during the one week exhibition.

Pasundayag 2015 was a tremendous success for Northern Mindanao Tourism Industry.

Tourism Czar Regional Director Butch Chan 111 announced that Department of Tourism X is underway in developing the tourism sites of Bukagan Hill through infrastructures. Along with this gigantic tourism development of Ozamiz City, the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) is now finalizing the requirements to further develop the area. Bukagan Hill is 92 meters above sea level and located at Barangay Malaubang.

The hill is approachable by a spiral road to the top where one views the entire city of Ozamiz, Panguil Bay, and Lanao del Norte Province.

Cartajenas, Chairperson, Committee on Finance and Infrastructure in his welcome address made a historical note of the significance of June 12-the Declaration of Philippine Independence. This became an annual national holiday since June 5, 1898, when Emilio Aguinaldo issued a Decree: declaring June 12, 1898 as the day of the proclamation of independence. This event took place at the Aguinaldo’s house located in what was then known as Cavite El Viejo or Kawit Cavite.

During the time, the Philippine Flag was officially unfurled for the first time at 4:20 P.M., as the MARCHA NATIONAL FILIPINA was played by the band of San Francisco de Malabon.

Looking back, over 300 years of Spanish domination but within this period, many Filipino suffered from slavery, cruelty and tyranny from these colonizers. Despite the sufferings, many Filipinos continued to live and still hope with high spirits that one day the Philippines will be free from all of these. These

challenges became the key to the creation of the revolutionary movement to fight this cruelty and be free. A revolt arises throughout the land, Filipinos or Katipuneros laid their lives for independence. After all the efforts, finally the country’s long goal of freeing our people from oppression has been reached.

He further narrated that the 117th Philippine Independence Day is the time to pay respect to our forefathers’ patriotism, bravery, determination and the unfailing courage of sacrificing their lives to defend our people from injustice in order to attain the freedom and democracy we now enjoy. As a citizen of this country and as a Filipino by heart and mind this is our challenge, a challenge to continue protecting our liberty, for it gave us the right to everything, especially the right to live in peace, to grow in harmony and to fulfill our destiny as a Filipino nation.

In his final statement, he used the words written by Andres Bonifacio on the walls of the cave of Montalban, Rizal which represents their goal as a secret society (the Katipunan) “VIVA LA INDEPENDENCIA FILIPINA, Long Live Philippine Independence.”

BARANGAY SAN ANTONIO-OZAMIZ CITY CELEBRATES 5TH HULAWHULAW FESTIVAL

HULAWHULAW FESTIVAL 2015 , a grandiose and breathtaking sea festival of Barangay San Antonio, Ozamiz City in honor of its Patron SaintSenor San Antonio de Padua and in ‘Thanksgiving’ to the bounty of the sea was held at the shoreline of the said barangay last June 12, 2015.

The Festival was participated in by contingents coming from the Municipality of Sinacaban, Municipality of Aloran, Oroquieta City and host Barangay San Antonio, Ozamiz City. The Festival is being supported by the Department of Tourism Region X –Tourism Czar Regional Director Catalino ‘Butch’ Echavez Chan 111. Now on its 5th year celebration, Hulawhulaw Festival is now considered as a tourist destination as it has gone through its straight fifth year of grandiose celebration to attract foreign, domestic and local tourists.

Hulaw-Hulaw Festival is being undertaken by the Barangay San Antonio Cultural and Tourism Affairs. It is a pet tourism destination project by the ever active and debonaire Barangay Captain Hon. Edgar ‘Egay’ Echavez together with its barangay officials. It is expected that next year Festival more contingents and municipalities will participate since it is being supported by the Dept. of Tourism X and Ozamiz City Tourism Office with its Tourism Officer Jaime Tomada.

At a Historical Glance – Legend says that Hulaw-Hulaw is a white sand bar enchanted island near Barangay San Antonio. One day, fishermen who passed by this island saw footprints of animals like dogs, ducks, carabaos, pigs, chickens and heard different kinds of sounds from these animals. They also saw deformed faces of people, variety of different school of fish like the famous ‘Laya Fish’, sea shells, crabs, shrimps, and different beautiful corals found in this amazing island.

People and fisher folks used to swim with friends and family especially during low tide because sand bar will appear. The whole island glitters and shine and everyone can relax and enjoy the natural scenery this island could offer.

Old folks always reminded fishermen and children not to talk too loud while approaching the island. They must pray for good catch because fishing is the main source of income of the inhabitants. One must be very careful once they reached the island, so always they say “KUYAW SA ISLA” until finally they call it “HULAW-HULAW” thus the bountiful harvest festival of the barangay.

To preserve the marine life species of Hulaw Hulaw, fishermen only use fishing nets and indigenous means of catching the richness of the sea. They never use destructive means of fishing for the marine life and corals to flourish for the next generation to catch the bounties of the sea.

Because of this, the fishermen were able to send their children to school, have food on their table and live sea life comfortably with other constituents

of the barangay.

On the eve of the Festival-nine (9) young, beautiful ladies coming the different barangays competed for Miss San Antonio Tourism to complete the Hulaw-Hulaw Festivity. Municipality of Sinacaban was the grand winner of the Festival and Best in Choreography while host Barangay San Antonio bagged the 1st runner-up trophy along with Best in Costume, Best in Musicality awards and the most coveted Festival Queen award.

Political dynasties keep people powerless

to avail of privileges they reserve for themselves.

Selfish, greedy, thoughtless, unfair, they deprive the rest of society of opportunity and livelihood that by rights should be open to all. Political dynasties are abhorrent to a democracy. ***** Because of the entrenched dynasties, people who possess superior knowledge, aptitude, or leadership skills in our society are deprived of the opportunity of ever entering the public service.

No matter how good or talented, they perforce are confined to the private sector, unable to entertain any thought of employing their talent for the benefit of community and society.

And it is happening everywhere in our country.

The proliferation of dynastic politics has prevented talent, enterprise, and other needs of public adminis-

CAGAYAN de Oro City -- This business of relying on strong men and women to govern our community must cease. It’s what keeps our society politically immature—leader-dependent, spoon-fed, and irresponsible.

Reliance on imperious, presumptuous (mis)leaders perpetuates their habit of taking the people for granted, by-passing them, taking liberties with the powers delegated to them, inevitably abusing privileges bestowed on them.

Political leaders are just as vulnerable to temptation as everyone…sapagkat sila’y tao lamang. Because of their privileged status, they easily get ideas about acting outside the pale of the law.

Before you know it, they start threatening to kill violators or deploy death squads to do it; it gives them deniability, blithely disowning responsibility. ***** Most everywhere in the Philippines, entrenched political dynasties have accumulated such power— plus the loyalty of naïve constituents—through years of exploiting the weakness of the masses and through strategic employment of their privileges and control.

They are today’s new breed of Traditional Politician (trapo): DYNASTY BUILDERS. ***** Those outside the dynasty’s circle cannot entertain the thought of a public career. They are prevented by the fact that positions for mayor, councilor, congressman, whatever—are already claimed and reserved for the powerful and dominant politicos.

As a result, we have had a dearth of worthy leaders and civil servants for the great enterprise of governing, legislating, administering, and refining public administration for our society and political system.

Imagine how much more civilized would be our society if meritorious citizens could rise openly and fairly to help refine community life, improve governance, expand livelihood, induce progress, or develop individual or social capability.

They would cause knowledge and technology to bloom. They would conceptualize wiser policies for progress and development. They would initiate programs that enrich the

needy, or lead in activities that liberate and empower people. ***** But many opportunities for placing their talent at the service of the community are denied them by opportunists and greedy trapos whose dynasties selfishly keep political power for themselves.

The losers in all this selfish aggrandizement of power, both political and financial, are the common good, the nation’s progress, and humanity’s advancement.

How many progressive ideas have been prevented from enriching the quality of governance or public administration because of the selfishness of the political dynasties?

Because of their selfish agendas, our democracy is prevented from advancing, our political maturity stunted. ***** Dynasties are monopolists and despoilers of our nation’s patrimony. Opportunists and parasites, they are predators and traitors to society and exploiters of our nation’s wealth.

They represent a great abnormality in our political growth and development; for they are antisocial and obsessed with their selfish interests.

-oooJESUS, AS GOD AND SAVIOR, ACCEPTS PENALTY FOR MAN’S SINS: Jesus in fact prayed “with agony” in the Garden of Gethsemane to show what man should do, when he is faced with very grave situations in His life. Jesus prayed not because He needed the prayers for Himself, but to point out that man should pray urgently during his most trying times.

And as in all the other incidents where Jesus underwent agony and suffering, the prayer at the Garden was made by Jesus as the “representative”---albeit the “holy” and “most worthy” representative---of the terribly sinful man.

He was praying in agony in representation of man, on account of the fact that, because of his sinfulness, man was destined to suffer eternal fire and worms.

DAR distributes 2,065 hectares agri lands to Region 13 farmers B

UTUAN CITY – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Caraga handed out titles for 2,065 hectares of agricultural lands to 972 Region 13 farmers in an awarding program to close this year’s 27th anniversary celebration of the government’s Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) at the Main Atrium of Robinsons Place here last Friday.

DAR-Caraga Regional Director Julita Ragandang turned over the land ownership papers to 217 hectares to 120 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Sibagat, Agusan del Sur, 1,775 hectares to 802 ARBs in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, and 73 hectares to 50 ARBs in

Sison and Taganaan, Surigao del Norte.

In her message, Ragandang said DAR’s role is not only to distribute agricultural lands to agrarian reform beneficiaries but to bolster their potentials as food producers and creative proprietors in their own right, as well.

Ragandang said CARP’s goals are for sustained productivity of the farming sector, empowerment of the ARBs, improvement of their living

conditions, and economic development of the community.

She made it clear that her office is focused on making the

program doable and its goals achievable.

Assistant Regional Director Daylinda Narisma emphasized

that everyone involved in CARP, the ARBs and stakeholders, should work for the success of the program.

During an engagement with Oro Chamber last Tuesday, city environment and natural resources officer Edwin Dael said that the city government has a standing contract with IPM Construction and Development Corporation to collect only 15,000 cubic meters.

By contrast, an average of 27,000 cubic meters of trash reaches the Carmen open dumpsite each month.

The excess mostly comes from huge businesses such as shopping centers, hotels and restaurants, according to Dael.

That number is expected to increase when more real estate developments such as subdivisions and condominiums and even shopping malls are expected to open in the next five years.

Under the contract as stipulated in the yearly

budget of the city government, City Hall is only allowed to pay a total of P5 million each month for collected garbage. That translates to P348.52 for each cubic meter or a total of 15,000 cubic meters only.

Multiply that by 12 months in a year, the city government is paying IPM Construction and Development Corporation a total of P60 million a year.

This falls short to the garbage fee collected by the City Finance Office from each business establishment which totaled only to P27 million, which means the surplus amount of P33 million is being subsidized by the city government.

RTT was piloted in 2012 in Talavera and Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. After the success of its initial implementation, 14 more towns in Pangasinan, Pampanga, and Ilocos Sur were added as demonstration sites.

“Yield increase relative to using the conventional tillage

method and savings generated on land preparation were the parameters used in measuring the success of the study,” said Ruben Miranda, study lead.

He explained that for 3 consecutive seasons, the average yield of the demonstration sites were relatively higher at 5.35 t/ha, 4.92 tons/ ha for conventional tillage.

In addition, farmers saved P3, 380.00/ha per season.

“Savings can be attributed to the faster operation time and lesser fuel consumption.

In RTT, farmers can save more than 5 hours per ha in their farming operations.

Savings on fuel is up to 50

percent or 14 l/ha lesser than in conventional tillage,” Miranda explained.

Aside from the savings and ease of land preparation, RTT also mitigates impacts of climate change.

The reduced diesel consumption and scattering of rice straws, which are usually burned by farmers, result in lesser methane and carbon dioxide emissions in the atmosphere.

PhilRice: Cheaper land preparation possible

THE Reduced Tillage Technology (RTT), a collaborative project of PhilRice, Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), DA-Regional Field Office in Central Luzon, and participating local government units, is an alternative system of land preparation for irrigated areas where plowing is not applied.

Comprising about 19 percent of the total labor cost in rice production, there, indeed, is a pressing need to look for new ways of doing land preparation.

With the RTT, rice stubbles, weeds, and the scattered rice straws are pressed two to three times using the

hand tractor’s paddy wheels attached with riding-type leveler or by drop downspiked tooth harrow. The pressing is done at a 5 to7day interval.

After the final leveling, crop establishment is done either by transplanting, direct seeding using the drumseeder, or by manual

Aggie dept pushes for soil health ‘mapping’ nationwide

THE Department of Agriculture on Thursday said it is pushing for a nationwide soil health mapping to properly assess the condition of farmlands in all regions.

Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala said the Bureau of Soils and Water Management will spearhead this endeavor under the leadership of Director Silvino Q. Tejada.

“This will help us come up with right decisions regarding food and agribusiness investments,” Alcala said.

The Secretary has already tasked all regional field offices (RFOs) to use their savings to fund the activity.

In fact, the RFOs have already started soil health mapping. RFOs 2 and 5 have already completed their activities and will come-up with a report thereon.

According to Alcala, Filipino farmers are expecting the BSWM will continue and broaden its programs and services, among them the Water Resources Management Program.

The said program covers the implementation of Small-Scale Irrigation Projects (SSIPs) such as Small Water Impounding Projects (SWIPs), Diversion Dams (DDs), Small Farm Reservoirs (SFRs) and Shallow Tube Wells (STWs).

Among the major accomplishments of the BSWM in 2014 is the National Master Plan for Small-Scale Irrigation Projects, CY 20142022, which includes the Watershed Management Component. (DA)

Effective Community and School Networking: The computer-assisted Best Practice of Iponan Elementary School instruction in schools

The image of the school depends to a great extent on the perceptions and observations of the public who are the school beneficiaries or clients. Considering that education is not the concern of educators alone but of everyone who believes that the best investment of any government to develop to its citizens is the education of the youth, then there is a great need for networking. As such, each school is expected to benefit from the active involvement of parents, local government, executives and community leaders in the running of its affairs. Local governance of education allows each school to take full advantage of local resources available for education.

In the advent of SchoolBased Management (SBM), the decentralization of decision- making, accountability and strengthening the idea of co-ownership of the school with several various stakeholders, it is just a must for every administrator to have a strong relationship with the community that can dispel negative attitude and build good reputation for the schools.

The world is getting more modernized as time flies. The use of advance gadgets such as computers, mobile phones, tablets and the like is already considered as normal in the present time.

Learning also evolve with time. As people climb themselves to the next level, the same goes with learning, comes to its system, delivery and even access.

Schools adopted the interactive computer-assisted instruction. Letting their selves indulged in kind of advancement, this instruction gives students the chance to make use of the fast-growing world of information and communication technologies and explore knowledge beyond four-corner classroom could offer.

The interactive computerassisted instruction encourage one-to-one interaction. The student could learn on his own because the lesson would be delivered according to his distinguished time and way.

It will give him the freedom to experiment with different options. In other term, this kind of instruction would be a self-directed learning where students could decide when, where, and what to learn.

It will also help teachers

to devote more time to each individual inside the classroom.

Fact be told, there are students who can hardly cope up with their classmates. There are also some who have problems in understanding the lessons way different from the others. Thus, if chance a teacher could talk to students one by one, their queries will be addressed directly. This is most useful especially to those slow and shy learners who cannot address their ideas in group.

This kind of instruction could also make students learn more and more rapidly. The ideas produced by an interactive computer such as multimedia presentations would help students to understand difficult concepts. Moreover, aside from achieving immediate feedback to the answers ilicited in the computers, this kind of instruction allows students to proceed at their own pace.

It might be true that interactive computer-assisted instruction has posted challenge to educators for it requires new demand on teachers and an increase in their capacity to assimilate and spread new ideas.

However, teachers should just view this instruction as helping tool in improving knowledge along with what time requires.

To recall, the DOJ, dismissed the petition-appeal filed by Oscar Moreno, in his capacity as City Mayor of Cagayan De Oro City, who argued that the 2015 Cagayan De Oro Revenue Code was illegal and has no legal basis and effect.

In a resolution dated March 18, 2015, the DOJ dismissed the Moreno petition for “lack of merit considering that all procedural requirements for the enactment of the tax ordinances as specified in the Local Government Code have indeed been observed.”

Moreno assailed the DOJ’s findings in dismissing the petition-appeal and argued the flaws and contradiction of the resolution against the evidence duly presented in the “reply” dated 30 March 2015.

The DOJ, however, opine that “after a careful scrutiny of the records of the case, in the light of the pertinent provisions of the Local Government Code, we (DOJ) find “NO MERIT” in the appellant movant (Moreno) motion.”

In denying the motion, the DOJ also noted that the Moreno arguments were

“rehashed” and emphasized that the “motion for reconsideration” will not prosper if it is bereft of any new arguments or issues not previously resolved by the court.

“Appellant (Moreno) motion should not be granted because it is merely a “rehash” of the appellant’s arguments already addressed by the DOJ,” the resolution said.

The Supreme Court unequivocal ruled the denial of rehashed pleadings as it would be a useless ritual for the court to reiterate itself, the DOJ said. The DOJ reiterated that the appellee (City Council) has fulfilled the requirements under the Local Government Code.

The DOJ resolution puts an end to the insistence of the City Treasurer’s Office to implement the tax scheme that the City Finance Committee wants to implement in a bid to intensify the city’s tax collection.

Local business groups complained that the tax scheme of the incumbent city government is “incongruous” that some of the local establishments temporarily shut down operations or, worse, closed down for their inability to pay the city’s annual business taxes.

The controversy sparked a long drawn court battle between the City Treasurer and the City Council after the latter approved Ordinance 123860-2014 repealing the city 2013 Revenue Code in order to amend, rectify, and clarify the implementation of new tax collections, charges, and interest rates.

Mayor Oscar Moreno vetoed the ordinance on the ground that the ordinance was “ultra vires,” unconstitutional, and grossly prejudicial to the interest of the people of Cagayan De Oro City.

The City Council, however, overrides Moreno’s veto power, then, proceeds with the implementation of the 2015 Revenue Code of Cagayan De Oro City, which becomes effective on January 2015.

B. Nograles (1st District, Davao City), Chairman of the House Committee on Labor and Employment and author of House Bill 5806, said probationary employee shall automatically become a regular employee after meeting the standards stipulated in the written contract of probationary employment.

Nograles said a probationary employment should not exceed six months from the first day of service, regardless of the nature of work to be performed.

The bill seeks to amend Articles 279, 280 and 281 of Presidential Decree No. 442, otherwise known as the Labor Code of the Philippines.

End-of-contract workers or “endos” refers to shortterm and unprotected temporary work arrangements and are bound by a fivemonth timeframe so that companies will not make them regular employees after six months under the Labor Code.

Nograles also raised the issue of security of tenure of workers who are under probation, project, fixed term; casual, seasonal, temporary, extra, and 5-5-5 work arrangements.

“All employees irrespective of employment status and position shall not be dismissed without cause and due process,” Nograles said.

Nograles said illegally dismissed employee, without cause and due process, shall be entitled to reinstatement without loss of seniority rights and benefits, full back wages, allowances, commission, including SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG and all other benefits and remunerations provided by law.

Rep. Deogracias B. Ramos Jr. (2nd District, Sorsogon), co-author of the bill, said the rights, terms and conditions of employment of probationary employee shall not be lower than the minimum standards set by laws or regulations.

“The job description and qualification standards of a worker to qualify for regular employment shall be in a written contract and made known by the employer to the employee at the time of his or her engagement,” said Ramos, chairperson of the House Committee on Bicol Recovery and Economic Development.

Under the bill, those under industry-specific work arrangement as may be determined by the Depart-

ment of Labor and Employment through tripartite approval are also not considered regular employees, unless there is a written contract of employment of not less than six months but not more than one year specifying the rights, terms and conditions of employment not lower than the minimum standards set by laws or regulations.

Online Study Reveals Philippines’ Booming Auto Market AS far as expressing interest to buy new cars is concerned, Asia emerged as the strongest market, according to Carmudi’s white paper “The Booming Automotive Industry in Emerging Markets”.

Accordint to the report, purchase intent is strongest in Asia, where 65-percent of respondents say they will buy new in the next two years, compared with 7-percent who plan to buy used cars.

with industry influencers across the world.

Suzuki Raider R 150 DO you subscribe to the idea; “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”? Well, Suzuki Philippines Inc. (SPH) most certainly does. Case in point: the Suzuki Raider R 150. Even after releasing a number of more modern, fuel-injected models in the market, SPH has retained the R 150 in their product line-up...and why not? Since its debut in 2004, the R 150’s dominance in the Sport Underbone segment has remained unchallenged. I decided to spend a couple of weeks of saddle time on the so-called “king of underbones” to discover what the fuss is all about.

The R 150 is powered by an oil-cooled 147.3 cc twin-cam mill which produces 11.5 kw @ 9500 and 12.4 nm @ 8500. You will fi nd that such fi gures will get you from point A to point B with a big grin on your face. I found myself taking the longer route to the office and the frequent trips to my favorite neighborhood cafe were for the thrill of riding as much as for the enjoyment of their refreshing halo-halo.

Working through the six gears was made easy by the shift indicator light on the instrument panel. It has low and high settings in which the former prompts the rider to shift earlier for fuel economy while the latter is tuned at higher RPM to maximize performance. Personally, I prefer to use the “shift by ear” method and this was further encouraged by the R 150’s beautiful exhaust note. That, and the manual clutch system offer a more mechanical feel that made riding more engaging. Handling is light and precise; slicing through urban traffic was virtually effortless. Stopping is as equally easy with front and rear hydraulic disc brakes.

At a P 94,900 price tag, you can choose from a wide range of commuter underbones in the market that will offer ad-

ditional features like fuel-injection, liquid cooling or even an integrated sound system. The Raider R 150, however, is all about the enjoyment of riding in its simplest form. In more than a decade of existence, it still gives the best-in-class performance befitting of its moniker. So indeed, long live the king!t
