Major General Hernando Iriberri is the 56th Commanding General of the Philippine Army, as of his assumption on February 7, 2014. Major General Iriberri was commissioned in the AFP Regular Force in March 1983 after graduating from

MOA inked between BFP-Oroquieta City and GT Distributors Volunteer Fire Brigade. Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Fire Insp. Isagani P. Olmedo signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Mr. Gorgonio “Gonie” Boaquina of the GT Distributors, who head the GT Volunteer Fire Brigade which was pursuant to R.A. 6975 and Section 5 of Article II of the Philippine Constitution. The dynamic partnership was forged to protect life and properties when fire occurs in the City of Good Life. The partnership will enhance cooperation among the
local government unit, the BFP, and the private sector. For his part, Mr. Boaquina considered the MOA as giving back what is due for the city, as an Oroquietanon, GT Distributors is part and parcel of the socio economic development of Oroquieta City. Under the MOA, Olmedo said that the BFP’s responsibility is to train the GT fire volunteers, to legalize, and give them legal protection as partner in fire fighting.
