Briefly Free Wi-Fi MISAMIS Oriental -- The Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental in cooperation with the Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) – Smart Communications launched on on September 25, 2017, the free Wi-Fi internet access in the Provincial Capitol compound. “The internet nowadays, whether we are amenable or not, is already part of our daily endeavors. Not only for the few but most of us ride the advent of technology. It is the best and quickest way to connect to our love ones locally and abroad. It has been the norm of the entire world. It is actually our main purpose of launching the free Wi-Fi access to each of the Misamisnon and Kagay-anon,” Governor Bambi Emano said during the launching program. The governor was grateful to the PLDT-Smart group led by its manager, Jimmy Chu, for the trust and confidence to the provincial government in this particular undertaking that will solely benefit the constituents of Misamis Oriental and Cagayan de Oro and ultimately the general public.

ANANA farmers from Compostela Va l l e y has intensified its nationwide campaign to drum up support for the passage of House Bill 5085, otherwise known as the Agribusiness Ventures Arrangements in Agrarian Reform Lands Act if passed into law.

Transitional shelters MARAWI City -- Transitional shelters which are to be built in Barangay Sagonsongan, Marawi City will be ready for occupancy by December, said Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council Chair (HUDCC) Eduardo del Rosario. Geared up towards its reconstruction efforts for Marawi City, members of Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) Sub-Committee on Housing along with Defense Undersecretary Cesar Yano, TFBM executive director, visited the location site of the transitional shelters last September 22. “Two hundred seventy-five families will be housed in this area by December. Every month thereafter, another families will be transferred until we complete the 1,175 families by March 28,” said Del Rosario.
