Briefly Responsible buyers OZAMIZ City – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has reminded consumers to become responsible buyers, in line with the celebration of the Consumer Welfare Month, this October. This reminder came from Delia M. Ayano, provincial director of DTIMisamis Occidental, who warned consumers against fake products sold in the market, during a recent press conference, in the city. “This is because of the proliferation of goods, which do not reveal its origin and which could not be explained why it went through the ports without legal documents,” she said. She said consumers should not buy products that do not comply with the DTI requirement of the Import Compliance Certificate (ICC) sticker, for foreign goods, and Product Standard (PS) sticker, for locally-made products.
