Tourism slogan DAVAO City -- The creation of the new 2017 slogan for the Department of Tourism (DOT) costs about P650 million, DOT Secretary Wanda Teo disclosed Saturday. Teo said that the new slogan would be handled by global advertising agency, McCann Erickson, which won the bid to develop the slogan during the previous administration under then DOT Secretary Ramon Jimenez Jr. “McCann is the one handling (the slogan). P650million submitted by the previous administration,” Teo told reporters in a press conference in Davao City. The P650 million was leftover budget from the previous administration which was supposed to be for promotions but Teo later came up with the decision to use it to change the slogan.

Agri, rural devt THE International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) committed USD 80 million for agricultural and rural transformation in the country. (SPI) took time out from work to volunteer in a school-based feeding activity at the San Martin Elementary School in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental. SPI has an on-going 120-day feeding program aimed at eliminating incidence of child-wasting in the area. About 115 children are benefitting from the project which is part of SPI’s comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
