Briefly Mid-year bonus ABOUT 3,000 city hall employees will receive a one month mid-year bonus here, Vice Mayor Ceasar Ian Acenas announced Wednesday. Acenas said that the local august body has already approved in second and final reading Ordinance No. 130662016, which grants the mid-year bonus. He said that the ordinance also appropriates P48,297,463 from the item CY 2015 Surplus of various offices to be made available for the purpose, subject to accounting and auditing regulations. The mid-year bonus is equivalent to one month basic salary rate for all salaried city officials and employees of the city government of Cagayan de Oro.

UST THREE days before elections, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) announced that contingency measures have already been in place to ensure that the country’s power transmission network is geared up for the nationwide polls. As early as February this year, the company has been in close coordination with
the Department of Energy to monitor the power outlook on the day of the elections.
“We are aligning our efforts with the Department of Energy and the rest of the power industry to ensure a blackout-free May elections. Hired-on-the-spot THE Department of Labor and Employment, Regional Office No. 10 (DOLE-10), surpassed the regional target with 26% or some 211 job applicants as Hired-On-The-Spot (HOTS) during the 114th Labor Day Job Fair on 1 May 2016 in Cagayan de Oro City. Further, of the total HOTS, 188 were hired for local employment and 23 for overseas. As the main event for this year’s Labor Day celebration, many of the applicants came from the nearby provinces of the city. As far as Mambajao town of the Province of Camiguin, Miss Milvie P. Bacor readied herself a day before to join the Job Fair in Cagayan de Oro City.
