Briefly Burial protocols THE burial of the patient who died due to Covid-19 followed Islamic traditions as well as protocols set by the health authorities, the local government assured on Sunday. Following the Department of Health protocols, the body of Patient 40 (PH40) was disinfected and placed in multiple airtight, leak-proof sealed cadaver bags to prevent contamination. The disinfection was done in Northern Mindanao Medical Center based in this city and was supervised by the chief epidemiologist of DOH Region 10, assistant regional director Dave Mendoza.

Fil-Chinese Community assist gov’t hospitals T By MIKE BAÑOS

he Filipino Chinese Community of Cagayan de Oro is mobilizing much needed medical supplies to assist two government hospitals at the front line of the fight against the COVID-19 coronavirus.

“We will be donating P1million worth of medical supplies requested by the Northern Mindanao Medical

Center on Monday, March 23, 2020, to assist them in coping with the influx of persons under investigations (PUI)

and persons under monitoring (PUM),” said Efren Uy, committee chairman of the Cagayan de Oro FilipinoChinese Community for the COVID-19 assistance project.
