EU energy assistance
BUTUAN City -- Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi extended his gratitude to the European Union (EU) delegates and assured them that the Philippine government is working doubly hard to provide full access to electricity to Filipinos. Undersecretary Felix William Fuentebella delivered the Secretary’s message at the Philippine-EU Access to Sustainable Energy Program (ASEP) conference held on Thursday at Bonifacio Global City. The ASEP is a joint undertaking of the DOE and the EU collectively espousing total electrification, energy security, efficiency and sustainability in the Philippines.
Australia backs ARMM DAVAO City -- The Australian government has launched its new flagship education initiative in Mindanao, The Education Pathways to Peace in Mindanao or PATHWAYS. Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop attended the launched at Marco Polo Davao today (March 17). Ernesto Penia, DirectorGeneral of the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) and Jesus Dureza, Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process and Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Regional Executive Secretary Atty. Laisa Alamia also graced the launch. PATHWAYS is a nine year (2017-2026) education program that focuses on priority education reform areas including contextualization of national curriculum on Bangsamoro issues and culture, improving teacher quality, improving data collection for policy making and stakeholder engagement in educational policy.

AVAO City – The city government will begin improvement works on the decades-old Sta. Ana wharf to boost the city’s bid as a premier tourism destination in Mindanao.

Pag-IBIG Fund to build more houses in M’danao
DAVAO City -- The Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF) or Pag-IBIG Fund will embark on more housing projects in Mindanao in partnership with the government and the private sector.
