ABOUT 5,000 residents from all over Misamis Occidental gathered Monday at the Medina College Gymnasium in Ozamiz City for the grand launching of the Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte-National Executive Coordinating Committee (MRRD-NECC).

Sasa modernization DAVAO City -- A home-grown cargo handling firm is throwing its all-out support to the Sasa Port modernization in order to address the growing demand of increasing cargo ships docking at Davao’s main port.

Harry Lopez-Chua of Filipinas Port Services (Filport) said modernizing Sasa Port would improve services and result in faster turnaround while an additional space would accommodate some new equipment.

He said currently, the port handling remains traditional using only short cranes. If there is improvement in cargo handling, it is private-initiated to improve their service and cope with competition.

Tax reform law must ease payment burden of MSMEs

T

HE Philippine E x p o r t e r s Confederation, Inc. (PHILEXPORT) is hoping to see the passage of tax reform policies that aim to lower compliance costs and simplify tax requirements and procedures for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

As proposed laws to reform the tax system in the Philippines are undergoing review in Congress and are the subject of a nationwide roadshow, PHILEXPORT

urged solons to consider what measures will facilitate rather than burden MSMEs in meeting their tax obligations.

The country's umbrella organization of Philippine exporters has also expressed objection to the removal of the zero value-added tax (VAT) rating for indirect exporters, saying it would damage exports and hurt the economy.

PHILEXPORT and the Export Development Council (EDC) made clear in an earlier joint position paper

their wish for a status quo on the zero VAT rating, which for now covers both direct and indirect exporters.

Finance Undersecretary Karl Kendrick Chua, in presentations made during the nationwide roadshows, assured exporters that the zero rating on indirect exports will not be removed until an efficient tax refund system is installed.

PHILEXPORT is part of a series of nationwide roadshows organized by the Philippine Chamber of

Commerce and Industry (PCCI) to raise public awareness of the tax reform proposals of the Department of Finance which are in House Bill 4774 entitled Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) by Congressman Dakila Carlo Cua. E a r l i e r t h i s y e a r, Representative Joey S. Salceda filed House Bill No. 4888 or the Tax Administration Reform Act (TARA) which he describes as the bill on "ease of paying taxes."

TARA, he said, seeks to improve the taxpaying environment and the efficiency of tax administration.

Measures that strive to improve the tax environment include instituting a "genuine" taxpayer bill of rights, implementing the estimated payments system for individual business taxpayers, and providing an effective, transparent, and independent tax appeals mechanism.

The bill also endorses

making the filing of VAT and percentage tax returns quarterly instead of monthly, making electronic filing and payment options available to all taxpayers and tax types, and instituting a streamlined refund system at the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and the payment of VAT refund to exporters.

It also calls for a simplified tax payment form for micro taxpayers, and proposes taxpayer segmentation based on capacity to comply.

More airlines eager to operate Clark-North America flights

C

lark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) is now in talks to have more airlines connect Clark International Airport (CRK) to North America.

"We are currently in negotiations with air carriers, pertaining especially in connecting Clark to North America," CIAC president and chief executive officer Alexander Cauguiran said on the sidelines of the Asia CEO Forum on February 8.

Cauguiran, however, declined to name these carriers, saying talks were still ongoing.

The CIAC chief said this route has a huge potential market in Regions 1 to 3 and the Camanava (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela) area, representing a combined population of around 24.2 million.

"Clark ought to be the most logical and practical airport of choice of the people from the northern and central parts of Luzon," Cauguiran said. This is because travelers from these parts can use Clark to avoid the traffic congestion going to over-crowded Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Cauguiran also provided an update on CIAC's plan to put

up a new passenger terminal building with a capacity of eight million passengers annually.

He said the Department of Transportation's intends to build the terminal by 2019, or before the current a d m i n i s t r at i o n ' s t e r m ends.

He also revealed there are studies that indicate the inevitable growth of passenger volume at CRK due to the increasing number of flights.

CIAC seeks to maximize in the next two to three years the existing terminal, which has an annual capacity of 4.2 million passengers.

"Plans of maximizing CRK are a lig ne d w it h (Transportation) Secretary (Arthur) Tugade's efforts to ease the congestion at the NAIA and in Metro Manila," Cauguiran said.

Airlines have heeded the government's call for more flights out of CRK. Local carriers like Philippine Airlines, Air Asia Philippines, and Cebu Pacific have recently inaugurated domestic and international flights, and more operations are set to be launched in the coming months.

It’s our own children. Do you realize that our kids believe the things we say to them? So when you and I tell our children that they’re stupid, lazy, or bad, they really believe it! With our words, we parents can actually kill any self-confidence our kids have!

That was a collective decision of their colleagues, and not just of Sen. Manny Pacquiao. The majority senators who decided to kick out the LP senators from their privileged posts decided it was time to draw the line.

After all, the senators allied with President Duterte have been accurate in their perception that the legislative agenda of the first Philippine president from Mindanao is being stymied by the dilly-dallying, if not out r ig ht obst r uc t ionist moves, of senators who have been pretending to be pro-Duterte too but who, in reality, wanted Duterte to fail, at the very least.

Developing a sense of commitment We need to develop the sense of commitment in everyone, and especially among the young ones.

It’s what is proper to us, for it shows we are true to our words, following what Christ once said: “Let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ (Mt 5,37) For sure, we are capable of entering into a commitment, because we have both the intelligence and will that will enable us to know what we are committing ourselves into and to want it for good or for a time, irrespective of the changing circumstances and developments that may be propitious or not to us.

Entering into commitment can only show determination on the part of the one assuming it, a determination t hat can on ly spr i ng f rom l ove, from one’s self-giving to another.

It is a promise that is taken very seriously, just like what a marrying couple wou ld promis e to e ach

other on their wedding day-”to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.”

As such, a commitment can truly be considered as proper when it is inspired

by God’s love, since it is God’s love that is its source and pattern. God is always faithful to us, as can be gleaned from the Book of Lamentations: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.” (3,22-23) A n d e v e n i f w e a re unfaithful to God, God will still be faithful to us, as St. Paul tells us in his Letter to the Romans: “What if some were unfaithful? Does their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God?” (3,3) We need to inculcate this sense of commitment among the youth since they

are the ones most affected by the current prevailing environment of disloyalty, infidelity and promiscuity.

S ome have gone to t he extent of equating being non-committed with being free, when in fact being non-committed can only make them held captive and enslaved by self-seeking forces.

We have to convince them that this is the way to their tr ue happiness and their human maturity and Christian perfection.

It is a way for them to develop authentic virtues.

A person who is afraid or who refuses to enter into commitment ends up being wishy-washy. He is an unreliable person.

We have to re assure them that entering into commitment will not make them rigid persons.

There are a lot of things that can cause an unplanned teen pregnancy, such as teens experimenting with sexual encounters at a young age. Another major cause is the lacked of guidance due to guardians that are blind or do not want to believe in such activities. These causes can have devastating effects on the teen and the newborn in the household. Some effects of early pregnancy will include an unexpected rise of responsibility for the teen and can cause many health concerns for both teen and newborn child.

Teens experimenting are the leading cause in the unplanned pregnancies. As a teenager in high school ages there are a lot of peer pressures.

Such as experimenting with alcohol and unprotected sexual intercourse. Drinking and the use of narcotics also largely have an impact on the judgment of the teen before the pre-pregnancy comes about.

Experimenting can cause many effects on the teen and the relationships at hand, including the relationships with the baby’s mom or dad and also the parents of the teens. Another way of experimenting is the pregnancy caused in the sequel of either a long-time dating of the boyfriend or the other case of those random one night stands or hook-ups.

Experimenting can be well avoided which can cause less of a chance of the unplanned pregnancy.

Another very important concern for preventing teen pregnancy is having a good guidance throughout the teenager’s teen years. The guardians of the teens play a crucial role in guiding the teen to making the right choices in his/her life. The teenager then is faced with obstacles that would normally happen to a 20-30 year old woman. Not having the proper guidance will cause the teen to find the alternatives.. For not having the proper guidance the teenager has a higher chance of dropping out or failing out of a school, such as being a high school dropout to have time to give birth and time to raise the young child. So by becoming pregnant at a young age and not finishing your education. It definitely doesn’t sound like fun, now

does it? The guidance in life is the most important thing throughout so this can be less of an issue.

It is then caused, in effect, to put a lot of responsibility in the teenager’s life once they find out that they are pregnant. There is 100% more responsibility in the teenager’s life. The early responsibility causes changes the teenagers overall personality. Going from being in school full time getting your education to having the responsibility to bringing a child into the world, then being alone able to possibly finish your high school education. Finishing your education in a regular 4 years of your high school years will be hard. Not even to mention the financial costs it has to have a newborn. What makes it hard is when you need money for the simple things for the child, but you don’t have the time to get a job because you’re nursing and getting ready to bring a child into the world. So as a teenager you need a support system so that a newborn is taken care of in the safest, best place for the child. A lot of this early responsibility can be unbearable for some teens, especially the ones that choose to get pregnant while they are still in high school.

With all of this going on in their lives it’s affecting the health risks and medical negatives a teenage pregnancy can cause. For example, there is an increased chance of mothers from ages 10-19 of birthing a child that is underweight at birth. A low birth weight will increase the chance of the newborn to have health risks. It is definitely not a great thing to have the chance of health risks in you or the child. Another way that the health problems can start is because teens might not have all the knowledge of proper behavior in knowing how to nurse the child or the proper ways during the growth of the child. Teenage adolescents tend to develop poor eating habits during pregnancy, they tend not to take the proper vitamins, and in the worst scenario the teen drinking and/ to doing drugs during the pregnancy.

That is the worst that can be done; it will increase the chance greatly of the baby being born with some type of birth defect or a weak part of the baby. Now that can be the worst you can possibly do to an unborn child.

To wrap it all up, teen pregnancy is a major issue that should be taken into consideration as much as it can. It causes countless, dodge able problems if the right choices are made and you have a good support system around you. It would be in the best advice to not take the chances to get pregnant as a teenager. It is not the age to get pregnant. Teens are not fully ready to become adults like the stress that follows during the pregnancy.

A Delightful Lesson in Classical Piano:

Rudolf Golez presents Mozart’s influence on Mendelssohn, Chopin and Gershwin

U

pon the invitation of our Cagayan de Oro City Tourism Council colleague Owen Jaen, some lucky members of the CTC were treated to a night of world-class classical piano through the March 20 concert of K a g a y - a n o n Vi r tu o s o Rudolf G olez, dubb e d “Mostly Mozart” at Liceo de Cagayan University’s iconic Rodelsa Hall.

The solo concert was the university’s joint celebration of National Arts Month and Liceo University’s 62nd Founding Anniversary, for the benefit of the Rodolfo N . Pe l a e z Fo u n d at i o n Scholarship Program.

As Rudolf explained before the first part of the concert: “The program is designed to show the interplay between major and minor tonalities.

Major chords have a bright and therefore happy quality: while the minor chords seem to have a dark and there sad or morose quality.” “ The mostly Mozart programme is a theme that is well loved and celebrated

yearly in many countries all over the world. As the title suggests, it is a concert or series of concerts that feature Mozart works in 51% of the items in the programme.”

“Interestingly, among his 17 sonatas for piano, Mozart only wrote two that is in the minor tonality, and I will play both, namely, the A minor and C minor. But the question is, does Mozart’s use of minor depict the typical sadness that was theoretically generalized?”

“You as the audience can now experience and judge for yourselves, If Mozart’s minor works are typically sad pieces, if not, how would you describe them, and what of their interface with the major? I chose the C major 545 Sonata to end the Mozart section of this mostly Mozart program, to show how the major tonality will sound after the two sonatas in the minor key. “ “So listen actively, and you might discover something in your listening that might be against what is written in the books.”

The work is considered one of Mozart’s most popular piano sonatas, and has been featured in classical musicrelated films, such as Sparky’s Magic Piano.

Mozart’s Piano Sonata No. 14 in C minor, K. 457, was published in December 1785 together with the Fantasy in C minor, K. 475, as Opus 11 by the publishing firm Artaria, Mozart’s main Viennese publisher.

The sonata was composed during the 10-year period of Mozart’s life as a freelance artist in Vienna after he removed himself from the patronage of the Archbishop of Salzburg in 1781. It is one of the earliest of only six sonatas composed during the Vienna years, and was probably written either as a teaching tool or for personal use. Sonatas during this time were generally written for a local audience - as opposed to a symphony or concerto, which were designed to

convey ideas in a small, intimate setting.

As the finale of the concert’s Mostly Mozart programme, Rudolf played the Piano Sonata No. 16 in C major, K. 545, described

by Mozart himself in his own thematic catalogue as “for beginners”, and sometimes known as the Sonata facile or Sonata semplice (Rossen, 1997) For the second part of the night’s programme, Golez fe atu re d Me nd el ss oh n , C hopin and G ershw in.

“One can safely say that, to a certain extent, Mozart’s influence extends to these three composers.”

Felix Mendelssohn Rondo Capriccioso for solo piano started off the second part of the concert.

The classicizing influence of Haydn and Mozart manifests itself in his preference for clearly balanced themes and phrase structure, and impeccable formal control; after hearing the Piano Trio in D minor Op.49, Robert Schumann declared that Mendelssohn was the Mozart of the 19th century.

In his review titled, “If Mostly Becomes Merely,” James R. Oestereich wrote: “In the Year of the Overriding Theme at the Mostly Mozart Festival in Avery Fisher Hall, Mozart’s relationships with other composers are being explored, and Mendelssohn shared the spotlight during the first week.”

“But as Paul Schiavo points out in a keynote essay in Stagebill, “Mozart as Muse,” the Mendelssohn works presented on Friday and Saturday evenings, the Violin Concerto in E minor and the Lobgesang Symphony (No. 2), “bespeak more the Romantic aspect of Mendelssohn’s personality” than the influence of Mozart.

The same might be said of the Mendelssohn piano works: six Songs Without Words (Op. 67) and the Rondo Capriccioso (Op. 14).” “ Thematic programs and series are suddenly the rage, and with good reason. If listeners can be given something larger to chew on than the qualities of individual pieces and the quality of the performances, so much the better. The problem is that unless the theme is patently obvious, it is not likely to emerge without considerable explication.” “ The middle ground between the trivial and the arcane is elusive. Didacticism lies close at hand, and a simple, unadorned misfire may be preferable.” (Oestereich, 1993) For his next item, Golez played Chopin’s Scherzo in B-flat No. 2. As to Mozart’s influences on Chopin, we gleaned the following from

GSIS opens Php2B loan facility in quake-hit Surigao del Norte, 9 Mindanao areas The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) opened a Php2 billion emergency loan facility for its active members and old-age pensioners in Surigao del Norte, which was recently hit by a 6.7 magnitude earthquake, and in 9 other areas in Mindanao, which were affected by other calamities.

The seven of the Mindanao areas, namely, Davao del Norte; Davao O r i e nt a l ; C omp o stel a Valley ; Oroquieta City in Misamis Occidental; Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte; Ditsa-an Ramain, Lanao del Sur; Pagalungan, Maguindanao experienced heavy rains and floods in January. The two others, Lopez Jaena in Misamis Occidental suffered landslides due to heavy rains and Bubong, Lanao del Sur encountered low water supply that damaged crops.

A total of 52,680 active members who are residing or working in the calamitydeclared areas, not on leave of absence without pay, have no arrears in paying premium contributions, and have no unpaid loans for more than six months may avail of the loan.

The collaborative efforts of these stakeholders in a school-community will create an impact of educational changes and gradual transformations.

B oth internal and external stakeholders should be interconnected with each other. Since, they are also the limbs and brains in the decision-making process as well as in the extension

of the moral and financial support. They must work hand in hand to achieve the desired goals and targets of action. They are the nerves of the educational system for without them, the school remains ineffective and the vision of quality education is nowhere to achieve. They should always work with full force and camaraderie and extend their sense of volunteerism side by side to extend services in all DepEd thrusts and programs the whole year round. “Boy, sit down!, Everybody, listen. Hey, what are you doing in there? Get inside.”….

These are lines commonly uttered by teachers handling last sections in a particular grade level in a typical public schools. Children nowadays are a bit harder to handle.

Their actions are superbly contagious. When one laughs, everybody laughs. When someone commits mistakes, the rest of the class turns into bullying friends which will then lead into confrontations and altercations if the situation is not controlled by the teacher.

S om e m ay s ay t h at situations like this are related to the lack of routinely activities and poor classroom management. Yes, exactly.

They are correct. In fact, teachers who have been in the service for quite a long time would agree with it. When teachers pay less attention to proper classroom management, the children are annoyingly impatient and lack discipline, thus turning the whole class miserable the whole day.

How does it happen? Well, as I’ve said earlier, children are amazingly contagious.

When one of them notices that the teacher is letting someone doing things not

related to the tasks at hand, everybody reacts and follow the one not doing the task.

The rest of them who are obedient are affected and the learning is compromised as well.

O t h e r t e a c h e r s an d educators would relate this kind of situation not to poor classroom management of the teachers but to the attitude of the children themselves and the type of environment they get at home. Children come to school with the very first impression of learning.

They go to school to learn to read, learn to write and be able to communicate with others. They do not come to school to become delinquent and unruly. But why are they behaving in such way at school? Neither the school nor the teachers here are the factors affecting their behaviors towards schooling and learning.

When parents’ relationship is a bit unstable and both are always quarreling towards s omeone or s omething without paying attention on how their children are doing in school. They are neglected, so children’s behavior is directly affected. In such manner, children now go

Rhapsody in Blue premiered in an afternoon concert on Tuesday, February 12, 1924, held by Paul Whiteman and his band Palais Royal Orchestra, entitled An Experiment in Modern Music, which took place in Aeolian Hall in New York City. Had this concert been held earlier, it would have been a fitting tribute celebrating the 93rd anniversary of this American musical landmark.

Paul Whiteman had asked Gershwin to write a “jazz concerto”, which became the Rhapsody in Blue; like a

Had they experienced being a classroom teacher for a single day? Definitely, none of them experienced it, or maybe there were few. I would say that our children are overly protected by laws to the extent that such laws lessen the authority of the teachers to discipline them. Teachers are considered parents-surrogate but a lot of teachers now are being bullied by the children themselves and when they try to discipline them they’ve

been slapped with such laws.

Teachers are helpless. All they can do is to get out of the classroom and scream as loud as they can. And when then they do that, children think that it is okay to disrespect the teachers. Teachers are loyal to the oath and their main function---which is to help the children learn.

When they discipline the children, it is mainly to help the children become better not to demoralize them.

Disciplining the children does not require the teachers to hurt them, but teachers have to get into their minds.

As an implication of such laws, teachers now are hesitant to undertake disciplinary actions towards children’s misb ehavior.

While the children are overly protected by laws, the teachers’ vital role in guiding them to become a better person is often neglected.

But what is good about all thes e s cenarios are the fact that it carves an opportunity for the teachers to be innovative, creative and more flexible. Teachers really have to adjust everyday as the necessity requires. Every day is a very different day for teachers. They do not know what type of children’s m i s b e h av i or c on f ront s them each, so they got to be ready…..We got to be ready for the children’s success in life is as sweet as ours.

Moro consensus group launched MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur --- A group of young Moro professionals, civil society organizations leaders, academicians, and students launched a consensus group to compliment the toplevel negotiations between the government and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) and Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

The launching of the Moro Consensus Group (MCG) highlighted the Forum on Federalism and Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) held at the Institute for Peace and Development in Mindanao (IPDM) in Mindanao State University main campus on February 22.

The group aims to hold series of fora and discussions to ensure broader and active participation in peace building.

MCG Chairman Drieza Lininding noted that while the government is engaging with MILF and MNLF, majority of Bangsamoro have no affiliations in both groups.

He said it is important for the majority to be informed, talk among themselves and agree on a consensus that they can rally behind.

ARMM Governor Mujiv Hataman, who attended the launching, said Moro youth holds potential role in the development of the region. He stressed that the government should recognize the Bangsamoro history, including their rights, even if the country will adopt or change its political system.

Participants to the forum were also lectured on the economic aspects of federalism and its implications to the Bangsamoro quest for self-determination.

“Like most countries, China is a highly segmented marketplace where consumers and their purchasing habits differ in various regions and provinces,” he said during the Philippine-China Forum.

China consistently remained as the Philippines’ largest trading partners, ranking third on the average in the last five years.

Tr a d e l i n e s t a t i s t i c s indicated that the country’s exports to China surged 2.2 percent to over $6.1 billion as of August 2016, representing an 11.4-percent share in total Philippine exports.

“We project that the

growth rate of our exports to China will increase more than that to Japan and US (United States),” Ortiz-Luis said. “Specifically, China’s rise as an economic powerhouse is one of the key factors that helped propel Philippine exports.”

The export group chief further said China will need to import more to sustain its 1.3 billion people and their requirements. These imports include metals, electronics and agri-based products.

“This projection is already supported by the notable increase in China’s demand for processed Philippine food products and fresh fruits like bananas, as well as minerals and metals like iron ore, copper and nickel,” he added.

Ortiz-Luis also cited an HSBC study showing China will replace the US as the world’s largest trading nation, and that Beijing’s share of global trade will increase from 9.8 percent in 2011 to 12.3 percent by 2026.

He noted that China and other neighboring Asian nations as well play a critical role in the Philippines’ bid for progress and prosperity.

“The establishment of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area in 2010 further expanded bilateral trade between the two,” he added.

Meanwhile, exporters were encouraged to register with online business matching system to gain more foreign buyers as they go global.

Susette Manrique, Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist at the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), said the realtime business matching is a component of online portal Tradeline Philippines. “(The business matching) b o o s t s e x p o r t e r s’ w e b pres ence and exp osure t hroug h an interac t ive dashboard,” she said, noting such serves as a platform to registered exporters and foreign buyers.

Manrique underscored the need to use technology to promote products and services abroad.

“I think this is one that Philippine exporters need.

If you want your products and services to be matched with the requirements of the foreign buyers, this is the facility that will help you,” she added.

Manrique said Tradeline Philippines also provides trade statistics that will help exporters enhance their competitiveness in the overseas markets.

“Similar to salary loans, calamity loans are payable in two years in equal monthly installments with an annual interest rate of 10 percent and one percent monthly penalty for late payments. To provide more assistance, we waived the one percent service fee for calamity loan applicants,” Dooc explained.

To qualify for SSS calamity loans, members should have a home address or property in the covered areas and a minimum of 36 monthly contributions, six of which should be paid within the 12-month period preceding the date of application.

However, members who av a i l e d t h e S S S L o a n Restructuring Program and those with final benefit claims, such as for total permanent disability and retirement, are excluded from the program.

Meanwhile, members with damaged homes can also avail cash assistance through Direct House Repair and Improvement Loan Program, with reduced interest rate of six percent per annum and waived processing fee.

SUNGGOD TA KAMANGA FESTIVAL – Is a Grand Festival Celebration of the Manobo Tribes of Quezon, Bukidnon which started in 2009 initially funded by the National Commission of the Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Intramuros, Manila.

It’s a ‘Traditional Ethnic Presentation’ showcasing their simple and primitive way of life focusing mainly on pre-farming and survival skills of the two dominant ethnic groups in the 23 barangays of the municipality namely: ManoboPulangihon (those living near Pulangi River) and Manobo-Matigsalog (those living in the highland areas). varied presentation of different tribal rituals, songs, dances and the popular ethnic sports of the said tribes commonly seen during their-merry making activities and tribal gatherings.

Be it known to the tourists of Region 7-Central Visayas that concept of festival celebration vary yearly in order to introduce to the public the uniqueness of its culture and way of life.

It would be a complete concept of pre-farming to harvest rituals and merry-making activities

in order to showcase to the spectators the authentic way of life the indigenous people, which nowadays seldom exists . With the organizer, the new Regional Director of New Visayas Butch E. Chan III supporter of the festival are proud to promote the Manobo Tribe in the municipality thus, every year, they made it a point that there will always be SOMETHING NEW to the eyes of the tourists and guests coming from other places within and outside the region, an

opportunity to discover more of the Manobos’s primitive and simple way of life that made their culture unique, mostly not known to the recent world but worth enough for preservation, thus, encouraging everyone to come back and witness every year’s celebration.
