Tax campaign THE Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Revenue Region (RR) 16 is set to launch the 2015 tax campaign here tomorrow, March 13. The launching will be highlighted by the unveiling of this year’s tax campaign logo and theme “Angat Pa, Pinas!” The theme calls for greater cooperation among Filipinos to pay their taxes as their contribution to nation-building. According to BIR-RR16, the 2015 tax campaign logo takes cues from the colors of the Philippine flag using arrows that show an upward movement to denote greater progress and positive change for the country.
Labor law compliant KNOWN as the island “Born of Fire,” the Department of Labor and Employment-region 10 (DOLE-10) is set to declare Camiguin as Labor Laws Compliant Tourism Destination. PSALM bidding P5.4-B fuel supply deal for three power plants
LAGUINDINGAN Airport has started accommodating night flights starting yesterday. Cebu Pacific (CEB) Flight 5J 211 was the first carrier to touch down at 8:20 pm last night from Cebu and flew back at 8:40 pm. In a press statement, Cebu Pacific said it currently operates 13 weekly flights to and from Cagayan de Oro via Manila, Cebu, Iloilo, and Davao. THE threat of millions of people being displaced because of climate changeexacerbated disaster is growing larger, the Genevabased Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) said in a new report released yesterday (today, March 12, 2015). And in the Philippines, the IDMC said that unless measures are adopted and
implemented, millions of Filipinos will be displaced from their homes in the next ten years due to climate change-related disasters. The Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management (PSALM) is inviting parties to join the P5.4-billion fuel supply bidding for three power plants. In a statement Thursday, “PSALM said it will procure a total of 235 million liters of industrial fuel oil with an accumulated budget of P5.44 billion“.
