Fishery modernization THE Department of Agriculture (DA) said it requested a $200-million loan from the Wor ld Bank which will support the modernization of the fisheries industry. In a statement Monday, Agriculture Secretary William D. Dar said the loan will help provide technical support and capital for the industry. The loan will also support efforts to achieve sustainability of the resource, and address socio-economic conditions in coastal communities.

Streamlining requirements DAVAO City -- Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio suggested to the Depar tment of Transportation to streamline the requirements for overseas foreign workers, stranded persons and the like before boarding the aircraft, and not to limit the prerequisites being asked by the destined local government unit. She said it is best that the DOTr will set the requirements for OFWs and stranded persons to comply before boarding the plane. Duterte-Carpio said the moment the person arrives at the LGU-airport, he will only have to present the requirements set by the national government.

THE Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) in Northern Mindanao will be releasing

special permits granting operators of public transport to collect special fares in areas affected by the COVID-19

crisis. As of presstime, LTFRB 10 has identified the following rationalized routes: Baikingon, Balongis, PERMITS/PAGE 6
