Planned railway project in M’danao under study

NFRASTRUCTURE projects under the Mindanao Development Corridors program have been approved for funding while a preliminary study for the biggest planned venture, the Mindanao Railway System, is under consideration, according to an official of the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA).
Undersecretary Janet M. Lopoz, MinDA executive director, said funding for the railway’s feasibility study is “in consideration,” but did not confirm reports that the government and a foreign company have started discussing the terms of reference for the study.
