Hazard map MISAMIS Oriental -- The province of Misamis Oriental has introduced a hazard map that identifies calamity and disaster prone areas in the province. Governor Yevgeny Vincente Emano said that the hazard map would serve as a guide for provincial residents during stormy weather and earthquakes. The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) has a list of vulnerable areas in Misamis Oriental during heavy rains and earthquakes.
Coco sugar THE Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently conducted a one-day skills training on coconut sap sugar production, an agribusiness development assistance to the women agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Agusan del Norte. Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Office II Andre B. Atega said the training is a continuing effort of the department to provide technical assistance to women ARBs of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP). He added that the activity was participated by forty (40) women ARBs who are members of cluster of ARB Organizations that includes Malambuong Kahugpongan sa Kababaehan sa San Isidro (MAKAKASI), Jaliobong Masipag Farmers Organization (JAMAFO), and Jaliobong Irrigators Services Association (JISA).
