EW options are being explored on the proposed privatization of the Agus and Pulangui hydropower complexes despite the sustained opposition of some groups in Mindanao.
OIL firms will reduce liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices starting today, February 1, reflecting the downtrend in global LPG prices. In separate advisories, EC Gas LPG said it would slash LPG prices by P3.36/ kg, while Petron Corp. will cut its Gasul and Fiesta Gas by P3.40/kg. With the adjustment, EC Gas rollback will total P37 and Petron at P37.40/ kg. Petron added it will cut Xtend AutoLPG prices by Php 1.90 per liter.

Peace caravan VARIOUS national government agencies will be bringing their services during a two-day Peace Caravan in Gingoog City on 3-4 February 2016. The Peace Caravan is a venue for the strengthened convergence of national agencies in delivering basic services to conflictaffected areas and offer consultations and dialogue between the community and government agencies on peace, development, and security concerns. This year’s Serbisyo Caravan, the government agencies, in coordination with the city government of Gingoog, targets around 9,000 beneficiaries from different barangays in Gingoog City. Services from each agency will take place at barangay Kalipay on the first day while at the City Gym the second day.
