ast February 1-2, 2017, the Department of Tourism-DOT 7 Central Visayas Regional Director Catalino ‘Butch’ E. Chan 111 together with tourist –guests from California visited Siquijor Province. The guests were ferried by a private yacht owned and managed by Coco Grove Resort of San Juan-Siquijor. The best accommodation and amenities was afforded by the host resort along with its sumptuous cuisine which delighted the guests.

For and in behalf of the dynamic Governor Zaldy S. Villa, active Provincial Administrator Pedro C. Samson represented the Province for a meeting with Regional Director Chan 111. They discussed

the tourism development program of the Province and to institutionalize and accredit the home stay houses to accommodate the domestic and foreign tourists during peak tourism activities of the province. To date there

are least 35 trained receiving hosts and they need more training for the tourism industry to boom in the area, and more home stay houses are needed thus accreditation and training is a must. Sanggunian Panlalawigan of Si qu ij or as p e r t he Administrator crafted a law to that effect to accredit and maintain standards home stay houses to accommodate the influx of tourists. Director Chan said that Seal Sticker Service should be seen in every home stay houses. Catalino Chan II and Cesar Chan. All his children have reached the zenith of success in life, in their career, and successful g r and ch i l d re n are now residing in the Queen City of South Cebu and in the USA. Present during the c e l e br at i on w e re M i l a , Cesar, Catalino Chan III, Paz C han L ao husb and Tony Lao-and Laos, the Kings and Catalino the 1st great grand children who enjoyed the beach of Marigondon.
