Manny Disca, Consumer Welfare Division chief, said that aside from Christmas lights and “noche buena” products, their itinerary also includes inspection of fireworks to safeguard the buying public from loosely manufactured ones. Earlier, the DTI officer admitted that not one Christmas light has ever been confiscated recently since they have started to conduct surprise inspections, which led them to believe that those engaged in this trade have already learned their lesson.
