One-stop agri hub BUTUAN City – The Department of Agriculture in Caraga Region (DA13) opened its One-Stop Agribusiness Center (OSAC) on Tuesday at the DA compound here. The center will accommodate regional products and also serve as an information center for agribusiness matters in the region. In his message during the opening activity, DA-13 regional executive director Abel James Monteagudo called on the agriculture stakeholders in Caraga to take advantage of the center.

Port upgrade DAVAO City — The P550-million Malalag Port Development Project in Davao del Sur has been completed, upgrading the cargo facility for the south of the Davao Region, the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) said over the weekend. In a statement, PPA said among the goods that are expected to pass through the seaport are “molasses, sugar, steel products, vehicles and heavy equipment.” Davao del Sur is considered the center of sugar production in the region, and also produces coconut, rice, mango, and banana, among other agricultural commodities.

INDANAO'S first batch of modern public utility jeepneys (PUJs) has started its maiden route on Tuesday, as part of the Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board's (LTFRB) Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) Modernization program. The 21-seater PUJ will run an average of 24 kilometers from the eastern part of the city, Barangay Bugo, to a tourist destination in Opol town, Misamis Oriental
