Most Competitive DAVAO City – If there’s one more reason for Davao City to celebrate Kadayawan Festival is the city’s new recognition as the 3rd Most Competitive Highly Urbanized City, next to Quezon City and Manila. The awarding was held during the 2017 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index Awards, in conjunction with the 5th Regional Competitiveness Summit at the Philippine International Convention Center on Wednesday, August 16. “We are happy with the performance of Davao City sa national competitiveness council award,” Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said in an interview Thursday during the NCCC Mall’s Kadayawan event. The mayor factored in the support of the private sector. She said the government’s programs and projects are usually a response to the people’s needs.
