New coal plant DAVAO City -- The first 105-megawatt (MW) unit of Sarangani Energy Corp.’s (SEC) 210-MW coal-fired plant will start delivering power to the Mindanao grid by the end of April, the top official of Alsons Consolidated Resources, Inc. (ACR) said. The first of two 105-megawatt units of Sarangani Energy Corp.’s coal-fired power plant in Maasim town is expected to start commercial operation by the end of April. -- Carmencita A.
