EU-PH trade meet ECONOMIC COOPERATION and trade meetings between the Philippines and the European Union (EU) are set to continue before year’s end, the EU delegation said. “We are happy to announce that these subcommittees will take place before the end of the year, obviously in virtual, remote (setting),” First Counsellor of the EU Delegation to the Philippines Rafael de Bustamante said. Under the EU-Philippines Partnership Cooperation Agreement, the two sides created three subcommittees: development cooperation, trade, investment and economic cooperation, and good governance, rule of law and human rights.
Agri ventures DAVAO City — The Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) said it signed partnerships with six companies for various agriculture ventures that will showcase the economic potential of the autonomous region. Former Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) camps, which are undergoing transformation as part of the peace agreement with the government, are among the sites that will be developed as model farms and learning centers. “This is our share in the peace building efforts being led by the government,” Antonio S. Peralta, chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP)-Southern Mindanao Business Council in an online interview.

APATAGAN, Lanao del Norte -Department of Agriculture - Regional Field Office 10 (DA-RFO 10) Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado formally handed over to the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte the P4.8 million fully operational seeds warehouse and P1.5 million drone sprayer last Tuesday, October 27. C onstr uc tion of t he warehouse and provision of the drone sprayer are funded under the DA's National Rice Program. The granting of the drone sprayer is part of DA-10’s farm modernization projects in the region. The sprayer is useful in automating fertilizer application in rice fields at 5-10 minutes per hectare field capacity.
The intervention is a pilot project of DA-10 in Lanao del Norte subject to cost-efficiency assessment and feedback from the recipients before widespread implementation. DAVAO CITY – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will build the country’s first-ever long distance mountain tunnel with an approximate length of 2.3 kilometers as part of the first 10Based on information released by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on Wednesday, the contract between DPWH and joint venture of Shimizu Corporation, Ulticon Builders Inc., and Takenaka Civil Engineering & Construction Co.
